February has come and gone by in a flash. Amid a generally worrisome political, economic and public health landscape, we hustle on like so many others, hoping that things will stabilise in the weeks to come. To all those reading this - wherever you are, stay safe (and sanitised)!

We’ve seen our ecosystem flourish over the past weeks, and we’re thankful to you for that. Our community continues to rally behind us with a shared dream to make Zilliqa as big as it can possibly be - this time via Zillacracy. In this growth phase, we’ve brought in new talent to lead our efforts in marketing, and with his inputs, can’t wait to further grow our brand recognition and expand our storytelling avenues. Meanwhile, adoption seems to be the name of the game, with the Xfers’ stablecoin token receiving its first listing on an exchange - marking a milestone for the uptake of digital assets.

Greetings everyone, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Singapore-based Switcheo, the first decentralised cryptocurrency exchange on the NEO blockchain, to build a non-custodial, decentralised exchange (DEX) on Zilliqa. Token holders will be able to tap into digital assets on the Ethereum blockchain for the first time, and enjoy a safer and more secure trading experience! NEW HIRE UPDATE:  We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Conn as Zilliqa’s Head of Corporate Development. 

Michael comes to Zilliqa with 20+ years’ global experience in entrepreneurship, corporate/start-up advisory and leadership, financial services, blockchain, crypto trading and investments, and brings a deep-domain knowledge of the blockchain industry to his role. He will work closely with Zilliqa’s executive team to help diversify the company’s revenue streams and strategically grow business. We’re certain that he  will be a huge value-add to the team as we look to ramp up enterprise adoption across the globe.

Zilliqa & Ivan On Tech team up to produce developer tutorial series;
First of five educational videos launched today, featuring a quiz challenge where participants can win $ZIL!

If we go by Zilliqa’s mantra of ‘tomorrow starts today’ - Web 3.0 and Industry 4.0 are already here, and we all need to be better prepared!

It’s impossible not to imagine a future steeped in digitisation. Blockchain will play a crucial role in tying the digital threads of the world together. With the ‘future of work’ being reshaped right now, we must invest in alternative channels of education so developers - the architects laying the building blocks of the new world - can upskill themselves. Zilliqa has always believed that by offering devs the right mentorship, resources and a ‘hands-on experience’ makes a huge difference.

Zilliqa has joined hands with Ivan on Tech to produce an educational video series targeted to developers. These videos will take you through various elements of the Zilliqa protocol, using Scilla to write and deploy code on the smart contract, and dApp creation.

Ivan’s explanations and demo of various aspects of our technical infrastructure will give you all valuable insights, and serves as a fantastic introduction into the Zilliqa world. The video will also feature a short quiz. Viewers are encouraged to work on the quiz and submit their responses within a week from today- i.e 7th April 2020.

We will select three random people who have scored at least 25 out of 35 points and reward them with 15,000 ZIL each.
So, while you’re working from home this week, pass this challenge on to fellow crypto enthusiasts, your blockchain networks and friends - and take a shot at the quiz yourself. Zilliqa looks forward to your feedback on the video, and your ‘homework’ 🙂

We at Zilliqa have kept our machines running as efficiently as possible while prioritising the health and well-being of our distributed team. People are settling into their new, socially distanced routines, while making sure that our numerous projects stay on track.
