The first proposal aims to temporarily eliminate shards until the more efficient sharding infrastructure is launched with Zilliqa 2.0. This move will significantly boost cost-efficiency and decentralisation in the interim.

Exciting developments are in motion concerning consensus and Staked Seed Nodes (SSNs) within the Zilliqa network, and two new proposals are now open for voting on Snapshot that aim to deliver major improvements to the network.

The first proposal introduces a new hybrid consensus mechanism to our network, incorporating SSNs as participants to elevate security and decentralisation on the road to Zilliqa 2.0

September was a busy month for the Zilliqa ecosystem, packed with several exciting announcements.
