Abstract: This presentation is based on Toshihiko Izutsu's book "Ethico-Religious Concepts in Quran"". As an accomplished linguist, Izutsu tries to study the structural elements of key ethical terms in Quran using a semantic approach. He explains how Islam has redefined the meaning of words and elucidates the ethical universe of the Quran.
