بخشي از مواعظ گهربار پيامبر اكرم صلي الله عليه و آله وسلم خطاب به حضرت ابوذر:
يا اباذر ، أعبدالله كأنك تراه فإن كنت لا تراه فإنه يراك
اي اباذر خدا را بندگي كن به گونه اي كه انگار او را مي بيني پس اگر تو او را نمي بيني،پس همانا او تو را مي بيند.
يا اباذر ،اغتنم خمساً قبل خمس: شبابك قبل هرمك ، و صحّتك قبل سقمك ، و غناك قبل فقرك و فراغك قبل شغلك ، و حياتك قبل موتك.
اي اباذر ، پنج چيز را قبل از پنج چيز غنيمت شمار : جوانيت را قبل از پيريت و سلامتي ات را قبل از بيماريت و توانگريت را قبل از فقرت و فراغتت را قبل از مشغول شدنت و زندگي ات را پيش از مرگت.
يا اباذر ، لا تنظر إلي صغر الخطيئة و لكن انظر إلي من عصيت.
اي اباذر به كوچكي گناه نگاه نكن بلكه ببين چه كسي را نافرماني مي كني.[كنايه از اينكه هيچ گناهي چون نافرماني خدا است نبايد كوچك شمرده شود ]
يا اباذر ، من لم يأت يوم القيامة بثلاث فقد خسر ، قلت : و ما الثلاث فداك أبي و امي ؟ قال ورع يحجزه عمّا حرّم الله عزّوجّل عليه ، و حلم يردّ به جهل السفيه ، و خلق يداري به الناس.
اي اباذر هر كس روز قيامت سه چيز را نياورد حتما ضرر مي كند . ابوذر مي گويد گفتم آن سه چيز چيست ؟ پدر و مادرم به فدايت. فرمود ورعي كه او را از آنچه خداوند برايش حرام كرده نگهدارد و حلمي كه ناداني سفيه را با آن حلم جواب دهد و اخلاقي كه به وسيله آن با مردم مدارا كند
طوبي لمن عمل بعلمه و أنفق الفضل من ماله ، و أمسك الفضل من قوله.
خوشا بر آن كس كه به علمش عمل كند و زيادي مالش را انفاق كند و از زياده گويي در كلامش بپرهيزد.

از امام جعفر صادق علیهالسلام :
قَالَ علیهالسلام: الْإِسْلَامُ دَرَجَةٌ وَ الْإِيمَانُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ دَرَجَةٌ وَ الْيَقِينُ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ دَرَجَةٌ وَ مَا أُوتِيَ النَّاسُ أَقَلَّ مِنَ الْيَقِينِ. (تحفالعقول، ص۳۵۸)
امام صادق علیهالسلام فرمود: اسلام یک درجه است، و ایمان درجهای است روى اسلام، و یقین درجهای است روى ایمان، آنچه مردم به آن رسند کمتر از یقین است.

Title: "Islam and Democracy: A Quranic Perspective"
Abstract: The relationship between Islam and democracy has been a very controversial topic in political theology. There is a debate on whether they are compatible with one another. Scholars’ views range from affirming it completely, claiming that Islam is totally compatible with the Western concept of democracy, to rejecting it totally, seeing no common ground between them. To study this subject, thus, it seems necessary to start with having an overall picture of the major perspectives offered in this discourse. In the next step, we can look briefly at various Islamic authoritative sources to find a general idea of what could be used to support or reject those perspectives.
