✅ DO SAY:

• "I will explain the problem to you."
• "It was difficult to explain the rules to him."
• "Can you explain this to me?"

❌ DON'T SAY:
• "I will explain you the problem." 🚫
• "It was difficult to explain him the rules." 🚫
• "Please explain me why you were late." 🚫

The golden rule: 👉 Explain + [Thing] + to + [Person] 👈

Use "If only" + past simple to express a strong wish about a present situation that isn’t true.

✅ SAY THIS:

For present wishes → If only + past tense ✅
