When I say Israel is a terrorist state, that's not me saying Iran ISN'T a terrorist state. The only difference is we're not paying for Iran to do what they do with our taxes.

Israel killed dozens of Americans in the USS liberty attack, in other words Israel killed more Americans in one day than Iran has after months of a war that we provoked. Oh and also about the same number of Americans were killed by Israeli forces in Palestine, Israel who we weren't even at war with, in the last 20 years or so as Iran killed in the last six months that we have been at war with them, and many of those were people offering humanitarian aid. That's not even including that 9/11 was probably done by Israel, as well as a bunch of other things as well.

All things considered it's quite difficult for me to see Israel as the lesser evil here, especially since Israel have been causing problems for us since it was founded, and the fact that the US and Iran had decent relations up until the US started meddling in the region on Israel's behalf several decades ago.

You guys ever go somewhere, and you can just feel it in your bones that there's something "off" about that place? Like a dark energy that's present there that you can sort of feel but you can't see?

For me I can only think of two places that have given me this off vibe, Washington DC and Vermont. Hell I was even in Ohio recently (albeit for not very long admittedly) and I did not feel any off vibe about that place, it was quite nice actually in the short time I was there and that's a state I've heard people say they felt an off vibe about.

I'll be honest with all of the fasts in the Orthodox liturgical calendar, in a weird sense for me personally Great Lent + Holy Week is one of the easiest ones. I think because since there's nothing else going on during that time of year I'm not missing out on anything so the temptation to break the fast is minimal during that one.

That end of winter + early spring period which is when that one happens is an otherwise very boring and uneventful part of the year, it's very easy for me to just lock in and dedicate that time to the fast, whereas with the other three I have this constant gnawing feeling that I'm missing out on what everyone else is doing.
