📸 A screenshot worth $40k or the quietest hack ever.

Another major hack took place recently, resulting in losses amounting to approximately $40K in gifts, including a rare item called Plush Pepe Emerald.

It all started quite conventionally: the victim was sent their outdated personal information with an offer to help hide these details from public view online. The scammer justified this by promoting his private channel.

During the call, he instructed the victim to navigate to the 'console' tab on Telegram Web but never shared his screen during that time. Instead, he provided just one screenshot after executing commands /test and /test server.

An hour later, the account was stolen, and all gifts were transferred to the scammer's account and sold off.

The account had two-factor authentication enabled, yet no login notifications appeared. It’s likely that the attacker gained direct access to an active session, bypassing new device detection, thus keeping the entry silent.

Началось всё довольно стандартно: жертве отправили его устаревшие личные данные, при этом предложили помочь скрыть эти данные в сети, мошенник обусловил это рекламой своего приватного канала.

Во время звонка он дал инструкции, которые привели жертву во вкладку console в Telegram Web, сам он не показывал экран всё это время, но дал всего один скриншот после команд "/test" и "/test server".

Через час аккаунт был украден, а все подарки переведены на аккаунт скамера и проданы.

На аккаунте стояла 2FA, и никаких уведомлений о входе не было, скорее всего, мошенник получил доступ к активной сессии напрямую, мессенджер не распознал новое устройство, и вход остался тихим.
