据报导，朝鲜召开了“第五次全国母亲大会”。画面显示，台下坐有很多身着民族服饰的女性。
金正恩在会议上发表讲话，提到了对该国生育率下降的担忧，鼓励母亲们多生孩子，并做好育儿工作。他还感谢这些母亲“培养许多出色英雄的不朽功绩”。
