Zelensky's Possible Rejection of Ceasefire Will Show He Wants War, Says European Lawmaker

🗣 "If he [Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky] rejects this truce, it will be a political mistake that will show that in reality he is interested in the war continuing," French Member of the European Parliament Thierry Mariani told Sputnik.

Mariani noted that the ceasefire is "great news," but Zelenskyy’s "extremist position" and the statements of those in Europe "who want war" force us to treat it with caution.

The Washington Post reported that Zelensky apparently rejected Putin's offer of an Easter truce after he posted that Ukrainian troops "continued their activity on the territory of the Kursk region."
