Ex-NYPD Officer Gets Record Sentence for Attack on Guard During Jan 6th

Thomas Webster was convicted of several felonies for attacking a Washington police officer with a flagpole on January 6th. Webster attacked the officer with a flagpole, tackled the officer to the ground, and tried to rip off his gas mask during the riot. Webster claimed that the officer had instigated the attack, but prosecutors argued that the officer was just doing his job and trying to keep the peace when Webster attacked him.

Apple Settles With Developer

Apple has settled a lawsuit with a developer and former engineer at Pinterest, Kosta Eleftheriou. Eleftheriou sued Apple after his app, FlickType, was rejected from the App Store and after he floated a successful social media campaign calling out Apple for App Store scams. Apple rejected his app, citing poor user experience, but approved apps with the same technology for big social media companies like Reddit or Instagram.

Samsung Confirms Hack
