πŸ”₯ My Amazing Day πŸ”₯

Guess What ....Today started off bright and early, despite the cold and rainy weather! It was one of those days when the chill in the air could have made it tough to get motivated, but I pushed through.

I kicked things off with an inspiring TypeScript class. The instructor's energy was contagious, making the session truly engaging.

I also participated in a class on software engineering essentials with PLP, where we dove into prompt engineering. After that, I explored modules on Python, data structures, mathematical thinking for coding, technical writing, and Git/GitHub.

A highlight was a quick five-second quiz at the end, featuring 20 multiple-choice questions. I competed with over 400 African participants from PLP and came close to breaking into the top 100!

Lesson of the Day: Collaboration fuels innovation.🐝

Today was unforgettable! I participated in an incredible event hosted by Cursorβ€”the first hackathon of its kind in Africa.

I connected with inspiring tech advocates and took part in a coding challenge. We had just five hours to brainstorm and develop a project, aiming to create something visually appealing and meaningful.

My team built a web app that curates content from social media platforms like Telegram, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Our goal was to deliver relevant news, job updates, and entertainment that truly matters. It was a fantastic effort, and we received insightful feedback.

Unfortunately, I had to leave early due to distance issues, so the final results are yet to be posted. I left feeling inspired and learned the power of creating projects that address real community needs.

Lesson of the Day: Patience is key🐌

Today was a beautifully exhausting adventure as I set out to celebrate a significant milestone...my senior's graduation! Although the official ceremony Was yesterday..I was thrilled to be granted permission to visit his home and join in the celebration.

The journey tested my patience with endless lines for transport and services. Yet, I pressed on, knowing that this day was about honoring his achievements and expressing gratitude to God for this moment.

Upon arriving, I was greeted with warmth and joy. We shared heartfelt conversations that reflected on life, dreams, and the invaluable lessons we've learned along the way. My "Big Brother" (my senior) offered insights that resonated deeply, guiding me as I prepare for my own journey ahead.

Despite the challenges I faced getting there, every moment was worth it. I returned home feeling inspired and grateful for the experiences that shape us. It reminded me that even the toughest journeys can lead to profound personal growth and precious moments of gratitude to honor God..

Thank you for being here and sharing this journey with me!😊

Lesson of the Day: Use every opportunity to learn and connectπŸ₯³

Today was a truly amazing day! It began with a TypeScript class at boot camp, led by an incredible instructor who emphasized the importance of networking. Through this class, I made many new friends among my classmates, which added to the excitement of learning.

We dove into the basics of TypeScript, exploring objects, arrays, and essential data structures. It was fascinating to see how much I could grasp and remember, even with the foundational concepts. The energy in the room was contagious, and I felt motivated to absorb every bit of knowledge.

.... Following that, I had another class at 2 PM focused on web development, part of the PLP scholarship program. We discussed the significance of websites in today’s world....how they serve as vital tools for businesses, nonprofits, and community initiatives. It was enlightening to learn about the trends that drive the need for effective online presence.

The web development class was filled with laughter and insights, thanks to our engaging instructor, who brought a fun Kenyan or Nigerian flair 😁to the session.

Overall, today was a whirlwind of learning and connection. I’m grateful for the experiences and the lessons they bring, reminding me that stepping out of my comfort zone opens doors to new opportunities.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me!πŸ˜‰

Lesson of the Day: Embrace Challenges🐝

Today was fantastic! I started with a TypeScript class, where I struggled to find a taxi but made it on time. We had a presentation on the material we covered over the past two weeks, followed by a fun hackathon challenge in groups.

In Group 3, we worked on building a simple supermarket system that allows users to add items to a cart and check out with a total price. We managed to get around 40% done, and there's homework for the next session to finish it up.

On top of that, I spent about 6 hours trying to cook something amazing! Overall, it was a productive day filled with learning and joy.

Thank You for being HereπŸ’ͺ

Life Lesson: Collaboration and Attention to Detail are Key to SuccessπŸ₯³

Hello everyone! Today was such a great day! I spent nearly 7 hours working on my Hackathon tasks for the PLP Africa event, where we're building a website that showcases creativity, and ingenuity.

It's crucial not only to focus on the design but also to ensure proper documentation and maintain a solid commit history on GitHub. During my work, I reached out to some close friends for feedback to enhance my project.

Overall, it was a very productive and fulfilling day, and I’m excited about the progress I made!

Lesson of the Day: Focus on Real Understanding Over Recognition 🌱

Hey everyone! Today was such a great day! I spent time working on my portfolio website for my project, seeking constructive feedback from close friends and fellow developers, especially those experienced in UI/UX design.

Yesterday, I presented my Simple shopping cart system, which was a fantastic experience that deepened my understanding of TypeScript. Our instructor, Natty, shared a valuable lesson: true change comes from genuine understanding and skill, not just the desire to be recognized.

Today, I almost finished the documentation for my project and worked on enhancing the UI. I’m dedicated to winning this hackathon, and I would really appreciate your wishes and prayers for me to succeed, especially since I’m not feeling my best with a flu.

We’ll hear the results from the PLP team on August 8th, so fingers crossed!

πŸ™ Thank you all for your support! Please wish and pray for me to win this challenge! Let’s keep pushing for greatness together!

Lesson of the Day: It's Okay to Take a Break and Prioritize Health🀝

Hello everyone! I haven’t posted in the last couple of days because I was hit hard by the flu. It was challenging to maintain my energy, and I struggled with headaches and fatigue, which made it tough to work on my tasks.

I want to take a moment to thank this amazing community and my close friends who reached out to check on me. Your support means so much!

During these three days, I fell behind on many tasks, including my PLP assignments and others. Thankfully, I’m feeling better now.... my voice is still recovering, but the headaches have eased. I can finally start working on some of my simple and easier tasks.

I also took some time to learn valuable lessons from the YouTube channel "Switch Youth," which offers insights on living life as a young person and applying those lessons in real life.

I apologize for not keeping you updated on my progress and health.
Thank you all for your understanding and support!😊
