You can use git, wakatime and a lot of other plugins in obsidian. this is nice specially using git in the app is super as it simplifies controlling your git repo without needing to open other editors

A typeface is the underlying visual design that can exist in many different typesetting technologies, and a font is one of these implementations. In other words, a typeface is what you see and a font is what you use.

Decades of choosing type via software “font” menus has caused the majority of us to think of “font” and “typeface” as interchangeable terms for the same thing, but the difference is important for anyone serious about typography. Another useful analogy is that a typeface is to a song as a font is to an MP3 file: A font is a manifestation of the typeface/song, but the typeface/song exists outside of the format.

Ethiopia has recently experienced a series of earthquakes, particularly in the Āfar region near Āwash. Over 14 tremors were recorded within a 24-hour period, causing minor property damage and displacing thousands of residents. The most powerful earthquake in this sequence reached a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale and was felt as far as Addis Ababa. In the Awash Fentale district, more than 100 houses were damaged, and 2,560 people were displaced. Livestock losses have also been reported. The continuous seismic activity has raised humanitarian concerns, with more than 2,500 individuals left without shelter and in need of immediate assistance.

Historically, the Rift Valley has been a hotspot for earthquakes, with 30 to 40 earthquakes of up to 6.8 magnitude recorded over the past 100 years. However, most of these did not cause significant damage due to smaller city sizes and the lack of tall buildings at the time.

The most recent significant earthquake occurred on January 1, 2025, at 11:09 am local time. This moderate magnitude 4.8 earthquake had its epicenter 12 km north of Āwash, Āfar, Ethiopia, at a depth of 10 km. The shaking was felt in several nearby towns and as far as Addis Ababa, approximately 153 km away from the epicenter.
