Reminder 127.0.0.1 is not the only loop back address…
But all 127.0.0.0/8!
There are 16 million loop back addresses like 127.163.145.17 is valid as well!
Why?
Because IANA thought that no one would use the internet so wasting 16 million public IPv4 Class A addresses for testing was fine…
