The care takers didn't let him keep it after he reached puberty tho. He got too tall and his voice was too deep. the hair simply didn't match the masculine idol image they were planning for.

He has no favourites amongst friends. There's just this kid named ki moon he doesn't quite understand. Which stems from liam not being good with sarcasm.

This is a mini lore channel after all.

The character on the left is Wataru (he’s an actual anime character). The anime is based on a visual novel game where the player is a 17yo girl whose father marries a woman with 13 sons, AND SHE CAN DATE ALL OF THEM. the idea of a 17-year-old dating a literal child was deeply disturbing to me. So, about two years ago, i ditched the og weird plot and made a character to befriend Wataru instead.
Wataru is a sweet, outgoing boy whose life is both chaotic and peaceful. Their home is always busy, but no one seems to have much time for him. He’s very social and often begs for attention or playtime. his nagging can actually be pretty cute sometimes.
His family is loaded (I mean…no shit. they have 14 kids total 😭). He’s the youngest at 10 years old and is mostly cared for by the oldest son, Masaomi, who’s basically become his father figure. Masaomi’s about 32 and is the man next to them in the sketch.
The girl on the right is Fumiko (I’ll tweak her design later to better fit her personality). She’s a shy, slightly bitter and sassy girl who doesn’t talk much. She’s the youngest of four sisters, but despite having siblings, she’s been pretty alone. Her mother passed away after giving birth to her (she was older when she had Fumiko ) which created a noticeable age gap between her and her sisters. The others moved out as soon as they became adults.
At the start of the story, the oldest sister takes Fumiko in after their last sibling leaves for college, not wanting to leave Fumiko alone with their father. He’s a busy businessman who already raised several kids, and her sister doubts he could give Fumiko the care she needs. Their family is vert traditional, with relatives who either run businesses or have prestigious degrees, so her sister packs her schedule full of extra classes . everything from math to music.

These two families know each other through business and a few other connections I might talk about later (if I ever draw more stuff, lol).

Things start to change when some of Fumiko’s teachers call her sister, saying they’ve noticed how antisocial she is. It’s been about four months since school started, and she hasn’t made a single friend. They often find her sitting alone rather than talking to anyone, and her health has also declined. They suggest putting her in a more active environment instead of loading her with overtime classes.There’s a catch, though.
sister can’t pick her up from school and manage her job at the same time, which is why the extra classes were so convenient. She sits on the idea until Fumiko actually gets sick. Taking a day off, she brings her to their family friend, Doctor Masaomi (yup, forgot to say he's actually a children's doctor in the anime lol).
At the clinic, she notices a young boy ,Wataru , playing in a small room next to Masaomi’s office. She mentions how nice it would be to do the same for Fumiko, but she has no extra space at her office and, considering how antisocial Fumiko is, leaving her alone wouldn’t help. Masaomi offers to watch both kids for a few months until the semester ends. By then, they’d hopefully be good friends and could hang out over summer break. Wataru’s well behaved, they both need a friend, and they likely wouldn’t cause trouble for patients when they’re together.
And that’s how the two start hanging out after school in Masaomi’s office. It’s generally a fluffy fic. maybe a little angst here and there, but nothing heavy.
Now that the “plot” is out of the way, I’ll probably draw their interactions more. Stay tuned for updates!
