That evening, in one of the city’s few underground alternative clubs, the bass of the party that was just getting started was pounding. Yan had come there hoping to let loose and have a great time that night. He came alone, knowing that before long he would get drunk and make some new acquaintances.

One shot, a second shot, a third… He had no idea how much he had drunk, but just an hour later, he found himself on the dance floor. It was crowded, suffocatingly hot, and he could barely see anything. Yan seemed to have fallen to the floor, and through the sticky haze of intoxication, he could feel equally drunk people beginning to step on his body. He was literally unable to move, yet he felt not the slightest bit of anxiety.

That night, he was crushed to death on the dance floor.
