Further evidence that the state is doing to the terrorism stats what it did to the grooming gang stats to mislead the public.
A 13 year old child appears to have downloaded some books (the law also makes it a crime to view online). In the past key texts have included SAS style jungle or knife fighting books, the manifesto by the Scandinavian terrorist Breivik, the Amazon sold Anarchist's Cookbook etc.
Yet no evidence of planning, serious intent etc. is required. Young male children are often naturally fascinated by dark tales, para/militarism, death and risk etc.
This law is being seriously misapplied in the cases to hide the real terrorist impulses elsewhere behind these young white children.
Without the application of this highly deceptive offence - that only recently has been applied in this way after 20 years on the statute books - "white" terrorism statistics would be near non-existent, outside of Northern Ireland.
