When you're at The Big One in London, there's a small chance a reporter with a notebook, microphone or TV camera asks why you are there.
You don't have to speak to them, but if you do want to, have you got a plan about what to say?
You need to have a plan!
Don't fluff your chance and look back with regret at a missed opportunity.
3/9/27 works like this:
- *3 points*
- made in *9 seconds*
- using no more than *27 words*
(a few more words doesn't hurt, if absolutely necessary)
So get your thinking cap on, and maybe have a go at practising it out loud - perhaps with family or a friend, even on your way to London or during a quiet spell while you're there.
Here's an example:
"We're on course for my children to see Earth warm by 3 degrees. The global impacts of that are terrifying. I've no other option than being here."
If you want your voice to be heard, make sure you know what you want to say.

💧 Sanitation & Waste
Volunteers urgently needed to ensure fresh water is widely available. May involve lifting water containers, but working together it should be manageable.
A few people possibly needed for spot cleaning of our 'loos of last resort' but hopefully not too much!
🌶 Food Crew
Can you help prepare or serve food, or be a cargo bike rider delivering it (bikes provided)?
A busy fun environment that makes a huge difference to mass actions. We'll find a job that suits your abilities. All assistance appreciated!
🐜 Set-up Crew
Help needed at 8am and 6pm at the south end of Abingdon St Gardens to move kit of varied weights. Anyone with good mobility can help move essential items - usually less than a ten minute walk. No sign-up required. Can be combined with other roles.
