انجمن بین‌المللی تحقیقات رفتار سفر، هر سه سال یک‌بار، کنفرانس بین‌المللی را برای ارائه نوآوری‌ها در این وادی برگزار می‌کند. اولین بار این کنفرانس در اوایل دهه 1970 برگزار شد. در سال 2018، 15امین کنفرانس بین‌المللی تحقیقات رفتار سفر توسط دانشگاه سانتا باربارا کالیفرنیا برگزار می‌شود. سایر اطلاعات به شرح زیر است:

دعوت به ارسال مقاله برای کنگره-کارگاه IEEE

در سال‌های اخیر، استفاده از فناوری‌های «داده‌های بزرگ» شروع به تغییر علوم مهندسی، پزشکی، حمل‌ونقل، مراقبت‌های بهداشتی، مالی، کسب‌وکار و درنهایت جامعه علمی کرده است. سری کنفرانس آی‌-تریپل-ای با محوریت داده‌های بزرگ در سال 2013 آغاز شده است. کنفرانس 2017 آن در بوستون آمریکا برگزار خواهد شد و در کنار برنامه اصلی، 40 کارگاه آموزشی درزمینهٔ استفاده از ابزار داده بزرگ را شامل خواهد شد.

کارگاهی در این کنفرانس بر روی «برنامه‌های کاربردی داده‌های بزرگ در صنعت حمل‌ونقل» تمرکز خواهد کرد و باهدف جمع‌آوری محققان و متخصصان از ایالات‌متحده آمریکا، اروپا و سراسر جهان برای بحث در مورد وضعیت فعلی در این زمینه و شناسایی فناوری‌های موجود در حوزه‌های دیگر که می‌تواند توسط صنعت حمل‌ونقل استفاده شود تمرکز می‌کند.
بدین‌وسیله از پژوهشگران برای ارائه مقاله خود در کنفرانس و کارگاه‌های مربوطه دعوت می‌شود.
موضوعات مناسب برای ارسال مقالات علمی عبارت‌اند از:

موقعیت پسادکتری در پلی‌تکنیک هنگ‌کنگ

در این دوره پسادکتری، افراد باید تحت یک گروه چند رشته‌ای دانشگاهی در یک برنامه جامع تحقیقاتی شبیه‌سازی شهری فعالیت کنند. موقعیت‌های فوق، توسط موسسه تحقیقاتی توسعه پایدار شهری در هنگ‌کنگ معرفی‌شده‌اند و هدف از آن توسعه و استفاده از یک پلت فرم (اُپن سورس) شبیه‌سازی شهری برای برنامه‌ریزی و مدیریت شهرهای با تراکم بالا است. موقعیت‌های فوق (حداقل) 12 ماهه هستند.

THE HONG KONG POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY, RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT
[Appointment period: twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
A number of postdoctoral researchers are needed to work under a multi-disciplinary team of academic leaders on a major research program on urban simulation. These are strategic posts created by the
Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD) for the development and application of an open source urban simulation platform for the planning and management of high-density cities.
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project – “Urban simulation” in one of the following areas:
1. 3D GIS for urban simulation
2. Transportation network modelling
3. Mobile mapping of utility systems
4. Simulation of air quality within high-density urban areas
5. Simultaneous Location and Mapping (SLAM) and seamless positioning technologies
6. Urban land-use planning with simulation
The successful applicant in area 3 should be an experienced researcher appointable to a Senior Research
Fellow position, who is expected to help ensure the coherence and integration of various components of the research program in addition to undertaking his/her work in the area of utility management.

Qualifications
Applicants for the Senior Research Fellow post should have a doctoral degree plus at least six years of postdoctoral research experience or equivalent qualifications and experience. Applicants for the
Research Fellow post should have a doctoral degree plus at least three years of postdoctoral research experience or equivalent qualifications and experience. Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellow post should have a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than three years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.
Applicants should also (a) possess a strong research track record; (b) have good interpersonal and communication skills; and (c) be able to work independently.
Preference will be given to those who possess knowledge of work on more than one area and general issues of urban simulation.
