Xiaomi has Stopped Updates for Next 3 Days🔖

Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphone owners around the world may have noticed a temporary lack of HyperOS 2 system updates over the past two to three days, leading them to question whether there may be a glitch in the update schedule.

However, the reason for this pause is directly related to the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Jie), which is officially celebrated in China from May 31 to June 2, 2025.

Xiaomi is developing its own automotive processor 🔖

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said at an investor conference that Xiaomi is working on its own automotive processor, which is expected to be announced "soon."

There is no information about the chip's characteristics or its purpose yet. Some Chinese car companies already have their own processors.

For example, Nio has the Shenji NX9031 autonomous driving chip, while Xpeng has the Turing AI. It is not yet known whether Xiaomi's development will be connected to the "autopilot" system.
