🚜 Battle of Yields Bridges 2: The Sequel. $5,000 USD to be won, test the Elrond <> Ethereum bridge

It's time to test the Elrond <> Ethereum bridge some more. We will test it by getting funds on the Ropsten Ethereum testnet, bridging them to the Elrond public testnet, and then bridging them back.

💯 - We learned the lessons from last time. Over-demand on the Ropsten side is not great. So, we will start with a batch of 100 users at first. Up to 1500 users will be able to participate, first come, first served.

⚠️ After 100 users get funds from the faucet, it will display a message saying "The number of users reached, come back for the next wave." That's whe you know the faucet has stopped disbursing funds. Stay tuned for the announcement about when it resumes and how many users can claim.

⏱ Complete tasks by Saturday 09 April (today) 23:59 UTC.

• Select From "Ethereum"
• Select To "Elrond"
• Select an asset "USDC"
• Enter amount "3000"
• Click on "Connect source wallet" and:
¤ sign into the Metamask wallet where you got funds from the Faucet
¤ sign into the Elrond wallet where you got funds from the Faucet
• Click on "Confirm Swap"
• On Metamask click "Confirm" on the popup
• Wait for the Ethereum TX to procezz 💤
• Again on Metamask click "Confirm" on the popup

⏳ Bridge transactions are executed in batches, which happen once every ~15 minutes. A countdown is displayed - keep the page open and return to it once the countdown is over.

🕵️‍♂️ You will see the transaction hashes, one on Ropsten Etherscan and one Elrond Testnet Explorer. The one on Elrond will likely include more transactions, as they are batched. Check the one for your address to confirm.

🔎 Click on "Start Over" or return to the bridge page, and click on the "Explore swaps" link below. Search for your Ethereum address, and then for your Elrond address, to confirm the transactions are also registered there.

3️⃣ Now perform a bridge transaction from Elrond to Ethereum, using the instructions above, but selecting from Elrond to Ethereum.

4️⃣ After you complete 3️⃣, send the USDC tokens from Ethereum, and the remaining rETH, to 0x51CeaFC9ecF82E0ac6BfdD4E1DaBeF159429d026 (back to the Faucet address)

💰 The $EGLD rewards for participants will be delivered to the Elrond addresses used in the bridging process, on the mainnet.

Today, we actually test it, on the devnet.

Please do:

1. Grab tokens from the faucet. You will get xEGLD and WEB, a test token.

2. Deposits open, up to 10% Withdrawal penalty 14:00 UTC - 14:30 UTC
Deposits continue. Withdrawals are penalized. The penalty increases as the phase nears its end. On the mainnet this phase will have several hours, not just minutes.

a) deposit some more xEGLD and WEB
b) withdraw some xEGLD & WEB to check that penalty works
c) deposit some more xEGLD & WEB

💡 Please ignore the difference between the penalty displayed and applied, time is warped so what would happen normally in several hours, happens in just minutes.

3. Deposits closed, 10% Withdrawal penalty 14:30 UTC - 15:00 UTC
Deposits are no longer possible. Withdrawal is now possible with a fixed 10% penalty.

You can now redeem the proceeds of the price discovery. If you deposited EGLD, you will get WEB at the final price, and vice versa.

🔒 Important note: these tokens have a timelock. It is a similar mechanism as LKMEX, but with a much shorter lock period. This means they can only be used for depositing liquidity, but can't be sold, for 1 epochs = 2 hours (it will be 3 epochs = 3 days on Mainnet).

5. Swaps 15:15 UTC - 23:59 UTC
Traders can start swapping. They will be able to buy locked WEB with unlocked xEGLD, or sell unlocked WEB and get locked EGLD. These tokens have different lock period than the ones obtained from Price Discovery.

👉 Please do:
a) swap some EGLD for WEB, check that you got locked WEB
b) swap some WEB for xEGLD, check that you got locked xEGLD.

6. Add liquidity 15:15 UTC - 23:59 UTC
The liquidity pool opens. Participants can add liquidity with unlocked xEGLD & WEB tokens, as well as locked EGLD & WEB tokens, in any combination. i.e. xEGLD & locked WEB, or locked EGLD & WEB, etc.

👉 Please do: add liquidity 2 times, using a different combination of xEGLD&WEB each time

7. Stake LP in farms 15:15 UTC - 23:59 UTC
After adding liquidity with any of the possible combinations of locked and unlocked tokens, you can stake the LP in farms.

👉 Please do:
a) stake 25% LP in the xEGLD/WEB farm with MEX rewards
b) stake 33% LP in the xEGLD/WEB farm with LKMEX rewards
c) stake 50% LP in the xEGLD/WEB farm with MEX rewards
d) stake 100% LP in the xEGLD/WEB farm with LKMEX rewards

8. 10% Bonus reward: Unlock tokens 22:15 UTC & onwards
The tokens from the price discovery, and the tokens you have swapped, can be unlocked. Complete 1 - 7 and 8 will give you a 10% bonus reward.

a) Unstake all farm positions
b) Withdraw liquidity
c) Unlock all locked xEGLD & WEB tokens from the 'Account Settings' Menu.
