1. Timeline?
Registration open, ends Sunday 12 September, 23:59 UTC.
Competition starts Tuesday 14 September and ends Tuesday 28 September.
We might do slight alterations to the timeline, depending on context. This is a test event, so anything can, and probably will, happen.
2. Registration?
• Go to https://battleofyields.com and click Join Now.

• Login with your Maiar app (open app > tap the "elrond logo" button > tap WalletConnect > scan QR code > allow the connection)
ℹ️ Maiar Login is used as an identity -> you register with your @herotag.
• Input your Battle of Yields wallet address. You can participate in Battle of Yields with a wallet address that is different from your Maiar address.
ℹ️ Your Maiar wallet address is used by default, for convenience. You can use a different wallet address instead. You don't need to add this different wallet address into Maiar.
• Input your Telegram username, so we can solve your outstanding issues when you reach out to us. We will never DM you first, but we might @ you on the Maiar exchange channel.
3. Can I update my registration info?
Yes. Go to battleofyields.com, press Join Now, login with Maiar and press the Edit button. You can change your wallet address and telegram username. You can't change the herotag you registered with, but you can simply sign up with a new one.
4. How do I earn?
• $50k USD pool: Find security issues, bugs
• $25k USD pool: create useful tools and content
• $25k USD pool: have high yields
We might shift funds around, i.e. reward great tools from the security pool, if the security issues rewards amount to less than $50k, and the contribution pool is exceeded.
5. Rules?
Have fun, don't send/receive EGLD or tokens to/from yourself or other wallets, submit well documented and valid issues, useful tools, original content.
6. I enrolled, now what?
Wait for the official kickoff announcement on Tuesday 14 September. Make sure you follow the communications channels, and test the devnet version of the exchange.
7. KYC?
You don't need to KYC to participate, but you need to pass KYC to get your rewards. We will provide a guide about who should KYC and how, as we get info from the leaderboards and submissions.
8. Leaderboards?
A ranking for the participating wallets with the highest total USD value. It will be published as the event starts.
9. Which testnet?
We're preparing a new testnet for the event. Existing funds will not carry over, even if you use the same wallet. Yes, you can use the same wallet as you did for testing the devnet version. Yes, even the ones that don't work right now due to the indexing issue.

4. Any updates on Rules?
Yes. Two things:
A. Don't send xEGLD or tokens outside of your wallet. If you do, you are disqualified. Easy to do: don't send xEGLD or tokens, only interact with the exchange.
B. Don't receive tokens. If you do, make sure you forward the entire received amount(s) to this burn address within 24 hours since the "receive" transaction(s):
Watch your wallet on the explorer or ask around for community tools to help you monitor it. Send any tokens you receive from other wallets, except from the Maiar DEX Smart Contracts, to the burn address.

⚡️ The Maiar Exchange just got more awesome! Here are some of the latest improvements and fixes:
• Reduced /tokens and /nfts requests on the front-end -> no more 404 errors in the console
• Statistics loop (brings rates and other data) every 3 sec, down from 6s
• EGLD price is used from microservice (exchange internal) instead of API (real world price)
• Styled transaction links on Account Details modal
• Fixed LKMEX select on mobile
💹 Gas limits updates: the Maiar DEX Smart Contracts were adapted to include Arwen v1.4 improvements and reduce TX costs
This update deserves a mention of its own, as it brings significant cost reductions to ESDT transfers in the add liquidity flow and for ESDT/SFT transfers in the add liquidity proxy flow.
Some add liquidity flows reported "not enough gas" as this update was being performed - fixed.
One issue with consolidating tokens still remains, work in progress.

• Reduced the number of recurring requests for farm rewards to 1 (previously 1 request for each farm stake row was done)

• Fixed LKMEX unlock schedule and unlock button
• Fixed withdraw from farm countdown resetting
• Fixed button flicker on many pages (when hovering)
• Fixed some of the disconnect issues with Maiar app
📱 To our mobile users: we are aware of the Maiar Login needing to reconnect periodically. We have a solution!
The current implementation of WalletConnect that we use for the Maiar Login feature uses web sockets. This makes it impossible to keep a WalletConnect connection live on mobiles when tabbing between applications - the mobile OS (both Android and iOS) will take the application offline in the background, which makes the session time out.
The latest version of WalletConnect uses a different method, and that is our proposed solution. Implementation requires changes to the Maiar App and our WalletConnect brigge - both non-trivial matters.
So a fix is coming, but not in the next few days. This means you need to occasionally reconnect. Thanks for understanding as we work on the identified solution.
