Heavy fighting has erupted near the Internal Security and Interior Ministry headquarters along Airport Road and in central Tripoli, according to local reports.
Clashes between militia group the โ 444th Brigade โ and the Stability Support Apparatus (SSA) began after SSA Commander Abdel Ghani al-Kikli, also known as โGhneiwa,โ was assassinated. The 444th Brigade is alleged to have been responsible for his assassination.
