trvthsvpernova: I am almost entirely convinced the sole reason people simp for latinx and pajeet food while hating (rightfully imo) midwestern cooking has nothing to do with flavor, its about color. Latinx food is almost always red, green, and white - very festive appealing colors. Midwest food is universally beige or gray.

these are southern/great plains foods
great plains has a different food culture (think late 1800s farmer foods) than the forest midwest (foods made with leftover canned food from ww2 like in britain)
