I decided to look into the Khajit of the elder scrolls, during my late night autism net surfing and found out something incredibly cursed.
Khajit aren't just the bipedal furries seen in TES games, there's a ton more of them, like 17 subtypes.
Imagine for a second, you have a Khajit friend, he invites you to dinner at his house and at the dinner table sits a saber toothed tiger the size of a horse, a house cat, some weird fucking gremlin, a giant roidmonster and just a guy with cat ears.
All are capable of speech and yes the talking sabertooth tiger can cast fireball for some reason. Also the house cat works espionage for some trade companies.
There is no relation to any genetics they just happen to be born under different moon phases.
