Some people think it is more important to construct new buildings rather than wasting money on maintaining old ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
With shifting societal needs and evolving architectural standards, it has become increasingly common for countries to invest in the construction of new public structures at the expense of existing ones, particularly in city centers. I am in favor of this practice.
There are several reasons why older buildings should be replaced with new ones. From a practical perspective, the erection of brand-new structures in place of former buildings enhances public safety. Unlike older structures, which may pose risks due to weakened foundations, structural cracks, and outdated materials, new counterparts are designed to adhere to current safety guidelines. Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, newly constructed buildings often incorporate features such as fire suppression systems, emergency exits, and security monitoring elements. Given the safe nature of these modern buildings, it is justifiable for governments to support their construction, even if this comes at the cost of historical sites.
Of equal significance is the focus on environmental sustainability. With heightened recognition of ecological issues like climate change and air pollution, urban development engineers now put a premium on eco-friendliness. Constructed with eco-friendly materials and methods, modern public structures minimize energy consumption related to heating, cooling, and lighting, which can lead to a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to the overall reduction of a city's carbon footprint. A case in point is my home country of Uzbekistan, where an increasing number of public buildings now integrate green roofs and rain gardens, leading to environmentally friendly cities.
In conclusion, I support the idea of erecting new public buildings rather than renovating and maintaining old ones on the grounds that it aligns with safety and environmental considerations. Only through the replacement of old structures with modern constructions can strides be made in ensuring public safety and promoting a greener future for our cities.

#Real_IELTS_exam_Task1 ✅LINE GRAPH @WRITING_T
🔥A BAND 1.0 REPORT🔥
The line graph compares three key forest industry products - pulp, timber, and paper - in terms of their production patterns in a specific European country between 1980 and 2000.
Although there were minor fluctuations, overall, all three products experienced an upward trajectory in production, albeit with varying degrees of growth. Of particular note is paper production, which registered the most significant increase, overtaking both pulp and timber to emerge as the dominant material.
In 1980, the country’s timber production stood at close to 6 million tonnes, marking the highest output in this category. Despite a temporary dip to approximately 3 million tonnes, timber production rebounded, surpassing paper and breaching the 7-million-tonne threshold by 1990. In contrast, pulp followed a distinct pattern across this timeframe. Starting at roughly 5 million tonnes in 1980, it saw a dramatic increase, reaching a pinnacle of 10 million tonnes by 1985. Subsequently, it sharply declined and plateaued until 1990. Paper production, on the other hand, consistently rose from a modest 4 million tonnes to surpass 7 million tonnes by 1990.
Considerable changes were observed in the following two decades. Timber production remained relatively stable, experiencing only a marginal upturn before peaking at about 9 million tonnes by the close of the period. Similarly, paper production exhibited nearly continuous growth, exceeding previous levels and reaching a zenith of 12 million tonnes by 2000. In contrast, pulp production waned, falling to slightly over 6 million tonnes by 1995. Although this figure recovered, it subsequently tapered off, concluding at just under 8 million tonnes.
