In my opinion, this prediction does not align with the reality of modern life.

Although this shift has allowed corporations to boost their profits and gain a competitive edge over rivals, it has reduced employment possibilities and intensified competition in the global job market. In response to this heightened competitiveness, individuals now feel compelled to work overtime and focus purely on their job responsibilities, thereby leaving them with little time and energy to engage in leisure activities.

Gone are the days when individuals came together to take part in meaningful social activities like hiking and camping; today’s screens and technological devices have fostered a culture of isolation.

This sedentary behavior not only constrains opportunities for face-to-face interactions but also hinders the development of vital interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution and emotional intelligence. A case in point is my home country of Uzbekistan, where many prioritize activities like online gaming and social media browsing over spending quality time with their family members and close friends, thus leading to the breakdown of familial bonds and communal ties.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that current generations do not have as much quality time as their previous counterparts not in spite of improvements in the field of technology, but because of them. Only through comprehsive technological awareness and digital literacy can we ensure the availability of sufficient spare time.
