A BAND 9.0 INTRODUCTION

In recent decades, childhood obesity has reached epidemic proportions worldwide, particularly in large cities. While this issue can be attributed to the confluence of unhealthy eating habits and insufficient physical activity, it is governmental interventions and individual initiatives that can reduce obesity rates among children.

SPEAKING PART 1

💥TOPIC: Sleep!

1️⃣How many hours do you usually sleep?

Unlike most people, who aim to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep, I don't sleep more than 6 hours. Although I recognize the importance of sufficient sleep to ensure optimal productivity and well-being, I prioritize quality over quantity when it comes to sleep.

2️⃣Do you sometimes sleep during the day?

Every now and then, I take short naps during the day, especially when I feel worn out or stressed because of my grueling schedule. Back in my childhood, however, this was not the case because I didn't struggle with massive work and family responsibilities.

3️⃣What do you do if you can't get to sleep at night?

If I find it difficult to fall asleep, which happens all the time, what I do is listen to the Holy Quran to calm down and get to sleep. Besides reading or listening to the Quran, I might also write essays, read philosophical books, or think about something special to fall asleep more quickly.

4️⃣Do you ever remember the dreams you have had while you were asleep?

Unlike my family members, who not only recall but also keep track of their dreams, I can't remember my dreams at all. I wish I had the ability to revisit my dreams so that they would provide insights into my subconscious thoughts and feelings.

🔥A BAND 2.0 ESSAY🔥

In recent decades, crime has reached epidemic proportions worldwide, with a significant number of ex-offenders breaking the law repeatedly. While it is true that some individuals revert to a life of crime after serving their prison sentences, it is important to recognize that many formerly incarcerated individuals do reform and reintegrate back into society.

Undoubtedly, there are numerous cases where ex-offenders relapse into criminal activities. Growing up in high-crime neighborhoods under the influence of gangs and peer pressure, many people become deeply entrenched in a criminal lifestyle and anti-social values. Even when faced with lengthy prison terms in harsh conditions, these individuals struggle to turn their lives around, leading to high rates of recidivism. Moreover, the social stigma attached to former prisoners based on their past criminal records further perpetuates the cycle of criminality. By labeling people as irredeemable law-breakers, society can limit their access to employment, education, and housing, all of which are essential for successful reintegration into society.

Despite these arguments, which seem reasonable, there are instances where ex-prisoners do not return to a path of crime and reintegrate back into their communities instead. A good case in point is my home country of Uzbekistan, where correctional facilities prioritize rehabilitation and reintegration programs over stringent punishments. Unlike many Asian countries that focus on punitive measures and deterrents to send a message to potential criminals, Uzbekistan makes use of rehabilitative strategies that equip prisoners with the necessary skills to thrive in the competitive job market post-release and maintain relationships with their families. As a result of these initiatives, Uzbekistan has one of the lowest recidivism rates in Asia.

In conclusion, although some formerly incarcerated individuals may struggle with reoffending due to their circumstances and social biases, effective rehabilitation programs and opportunities for self-improvement can empower them to rebuild their lives and successfully reintegrate into society.

95% of you do not probably deserve this course: you need to fail for multiple times, throw away a few millions, and waste years before pulling off a 7.0 7.5 or 8.0 in IELTS Writing.

Why do I speak Uzbek in place of English when I teach?

As is usually the case with my online courses, many students from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are showing a great interest in this upcoming Writing course, while my Uzbek counterparts seem preoccupied with life-wasting games like PUBG and asinine social media trends like “Nexia Legenda”. One of the things that set my teaching approach apart from other competent IELTS instructors is that I primarily use my mother tongue (Uzbek) to connect with my students as opposed to speaking and writing in English. Although doing so often limits my English practice and makes it harder to hone my writing and speaking skills, it helps me engage with my students on a deeper level to build rapport. Not only does teaching lessons in Uzbek hinder avenues for my Speaking improvement in English, but it also makes it increasingly challenging for foreign students to get the best out of my courses. Still, I keep relying on our native language to express my thoughts and get my messages across. If I switch to English, not only might you find it difficult to grasp the essence of my points, but I may also have trouble cracking jokes, giving real-life examples, and establishing an emotional bond with you. I am not an Instructor: I am a teacher at the end of the day!
