The table present a comparison of men and women in terms of employment statistics for six economic sectors in two years: 1993 and 2003. Over this decade, in most industries, there was an upward trajectory of various patterns recorded for both genders, with IT and service emerging as the major employers for both genders. Of all the sectors studied, IT and farming were the ones where the gender gap was the most pronounced, yet it was not the case for commerce and manufacturing.
Looking at the widest gender differences, in the IT industry, a whopping 80% of the total workforce was made up of men—4 times as many as women. By 2003, however, this gap narrowed notably, with 70% of IT specialists being men in comparison to women at a mere 30%. A similar male-to-female ratio was seen in farming: in the former year, men accounted for three-fourth, which was three time the figure for their female counterparts; a decade later, men a saw a slight drop of 10% to 65%, and women witnessed a rise of the same margin to 35%, marking a less pronounced gender gap.

Assalamu alaikum, everybody. I hope you are all doing well.
This is not a post about IELTS. Those of you who have been following my channel for a long time know that I am usually very careful about what I post here. This time around, it is a charity post, and it concerns the niece of one of my former colleagues.
I was recently informed that she (her name is Muslima) has been diagnosed with cancer at a very young age. It is a tragic situation, but there is still hope because treatment is possible. Unfortunately, the treatment is very expensive, and her family is currently trying to collect the necessary funds from different sources.
I would also like to help, and that is why I am sharing this message here. To make sure everything is transparent and credible, I have attached pictures and documentation showing that this is a real case.
The family has already traveled to Turkey because they are planning to continue the treatment there. They have also provided documentation related to the diagnosis and medical payments to confirm the situation.
Of course, any donation can help — even a single dollar. When many people contribute together, it can truly make a difference and help save this young girl’s life. Any support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention, and thank you regardless of whether you decide to donate or not.
Cards for donations:

The picture provides a comparison between two plans. Overall, while both plans share a set of similarities, largely identical office equipment, the arrangement differs widely. In particular, Plan A has a more spacious and simpler layout, in contrast to Plan B, which offers a more compact yet functional arrangement.
One key difference between the plans is the front section. Specifically, there is a presenter's chair, along with a computer and printer situated at the entrance. Also, all of these are next to a white board located near the entrance in Plan A, yet in Plan B, these are set in a more central location, parallel to each other. Unlike the former plan, where the morning tea area is at the rear section, the latter features this area on the right-hand side of the entrance.
Another distinction is the seating arrangement. In Plan A, tables, while occupying the centre of the room, form a U-shaped layout and a total of 10 chairs are positioned around the sides. In comparison, in Plan B, the tables are placed farther from the center and organized in clusters, two of which have a set of 3 chairs on both sides. Thus, this allows the room to accommodate more seats.

As major cities around the world are growing, so are their problems.
What are these problems for young people living in cities?
What are possible solutions for these problems?
There is a correlation between the growth of metropolitan cities and the problems they face. Indeed, this expansion affects the young immensely, resulting in not only hyper-competitive job market but also heightened crime rates. To counteract these, a more balanced distribution of resources should be established.
With ever-growing large cities, the competition in the job market is bound to become stiff, especially for young workers. This is because they cannot compete with their more experienced and skilled counterparts, since in a market where job requirements are stringent, only experts can survive. Over time, this may lead to higher levels of unemployment and limit social mobility for the less experienced. Another by-product is the rise of crime. When left without a chance to carve out a lucrative career, unlike others who have more working expertise, young employees are more likely to turn to criminal means of making a livelihood. Such big cities as London and New York, among others, are pertinent examples, with both having a vast territory as well as alarming crime rates.
These issues, however worrying they seem, can be ameliorated with government regulations. In fact, when the development of rural areas is as much prioritized as that of cities, the latter are less likely to grow at an unprecedented rate, as they do today in multiple countries. The number of businesses and factories, and even the infrastructure, would be more evenly distributed and developed, deterring disproportionate growth of urban centres. Compared to other countermeasures, from imposing limits on the population boom in cities to moving residents coercively to the countryside, these shifts are more inclusive of any vulnerable groups yet require a concerted effort by both the public and government. That is, these two parties should co-operate at national and grassroots levels by establishing two-way communication to ensure the divide between cities and rural places shrinks.
In summary, city sprawl and the issues it entails may impact the lives of young people adversely, bringing about stiff competition in the labor market and exacerbating crime problems. Yet, minimising these problems would involve collaborative action taken by both communities and authorities to allocate resources evenly across urban and rural areas.

The diagram outlines the steps whereby a water filter is assembled. This process is dual-phased, starting out with layering materials, as a result of which potable water can be extracted. For this to take place, several raw materials and special equipment are required.
The initial stage involves the use of a cylindrical container, namely a drum. Once a certain amount of gravel, charcoal and sand are placed on top of each other to fill nearly half the drum, it is closed with a plastic lid and the filtration can be initiated. To this end, impure water is poured into the drum, permeating the layers that remove impurities—a procedure that results in drinkable water.
Following this, the water flows through a pipe connected to the side outlet at the top of the drum into a barrel. There, the water is stored for some period and, with the help of a tap attached to the bottom that can be used to control the flow of water, mugs or cups can be filled with the drinkable water.

The infographics provide statistics on trade values between China and Australia from 1998 to 2004. In general, while both exports to and imports from China rose steadily, the latter was consistently greater. Notably, the only commodity not to have seen an increase was textiles, with telecommunication becoming the most imported to Australia by the end.
Import-to-export ratio stood stable during the entire timeframe. In particular, in 1998, Australia imported goods valued at 20 billion dollars, twice as much as it exported to the trading partner. Going up at a pace of 10 billion dollars a year, import values had doubled (40 billion dollars) and those of export tripled (30 billion dollars) by 2004. Despite this, a gap of 10 billion dollars in favor of imports sustained in all the years.
The breakdown of goods, meanwhile, revealed varying patterns. Over the period between 2003 and 2004, telecommunication and sports equipment witnessed the most pronounced growth of 5 billion dollars to 7 and 8 billion dollars, respectively, which placed them second and first on the list. Furniture and computers came next, two categories that, after a negligible rise, reached parity at 6 billion dollars in 2004. Clothing imports, remaining unaltered at 4 billion dollars, rounded out the list.

The graph compares how many mvoies were made in 5 different contries between 2007 and 2009. Overall, countries A and B remained principal film producers, outstripping the rest of countries by a wide margin. While changes in almost all the nations were negligible, country B was the exception that recorded the only pronounced rise.
In this case, the combination of general and topical lexis deserves attention

The pie graphs compare how much time office workers spent on various tasks in 1980 and 2000 in the US. Over this period, computer use has developed into the main activity, surpassing former most time-consuming task—using phones. Furthermore, while unspecified activities and in-person communication remained unaltered, paper documents, meeting and phones had taken much less time by 2000, in contrast to the remaining activities.
The only two activities that were equally participated in both years were uncategorized tasks and face-to-face communication; their figures collectively accounted for 29% of the total time. Paper documents and phone use, however, recorded decreases in the 20-year span. In 1980, office workers used as much as 30% of their time using phones, a figure that shrank to 17% two decades later, thus marking the sharpest fall. The other marked drop was seen in paperwork: its proportion halved to 10% in 2000.
Patterns for the rest of activities were growing, with that of computers doing so the most. In particular, there was a surge in the usage of computers, as the percentage of time spent on it rose fifteen-fold to a chart high of 30%, a stark contrast to the figure for meeting dwindling roughly three-fold to 6%. The final notable change was the introduction of emailing in 2000, which required the least time (8%) in the year.
Estimated score: 8/9/8/9

At a chart high of around 5.5% in 1990, industrial contribution to pollution was far ahead of that of transport and households at a mere 1% each.
As of 1996, this gap narrowed and pollution caused by industrial activities dropped to roughly 3%, while the other two pollution sources remained almost unaltered.

The bar chart shows reasons why men and women used the Internet in the UK in 2013. Overall, socializing and online communication were by far the most common reasons for both genders to use the Internet, compared to online shopping and playing video games that were less popular and female-dominated. The only activity where men had a gender gap in their favor was banking, which recorded the lowest participation rates for both sexes.
Starting with the categories with the smallest gender discrepancies, four in five users, regardless of gender, were online to email, marking the highest participation level. Similarly, social networking also recorded no gender difference, with the figures for both groups at nearly the same level as those of emailing, 80%. As for activities with greater gender gaps, more men used the Internet for banking than women: just below 60% versus exactly 50%, respectively, two percentages that also were the smallest among all activities.
In the remaining categories, gender distribution was also uneven and favored women. As many as 80% of them played online video games, about 15% higher than men's proportion. This pattern persisted in online shopping too; roughly three-fourths of female internet users shopped online, while their male counterparts lagged behind by 10%, at virtually 65%.
