AP World History Question? I'm taking it this year and I know that the 3 essays are equally weighted to make up half of the exam and multiple choice is the other half, but I was confused about how the essay scores went in to your total score. For example, if you get a 7 on all your essays would that be 100 percent or would you have to get a 9 on all of them to get a 100 on the essay portion.

🏆 I am too! In total for the essays you can get 21 according to my teacher. They aren't graded separately, but all of your scores are added together and divided by 21. That means you could get a 7,5,3 and get a 15/21 which I think is failing but you get my point. And then the percentage for your multiple choice. So if your MC is 90% and your essays are 60%, you get a 75% and you pass.

add the x^2 terms:
56 = 2x^2 + 9x
subtract 56 from both sides:
2x^2 + 9x - 56 = 0
factor:
(2x - 7)(x + 8) = 0
apply zero product property:
2x - 7 = 0 or x + 8 = 0
solve for x:
x = 7/2 or x = -8
that's it! ;)

(2x-7)(x+8)=0
so, x=-8 or x=-7/2
this is my guess. simplyfy the x squared. So it would be 2x² + 9x = 56. then divide both sides by 9x and go **** yourself im confused.
