San Jose police announced they have arrested a 45-year-old California Children’s Service physical therapist in Santa Clara County for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old patient. The suspect, identified as Leonard Cheng, was arrested near his home in San Jose on November 1 without incident by the Police Department’s Sexual Assault Investigation Branch. He was sentenced to the Santa Clara County Jail on multiple counts of sexually assaulting a minor.

GOSHEN, N.Y. — A Goshen man has been taken into custody after he fled the area for allegedly having sexual contact with a child under the age of 13. Jesus Torres, 31, was arrested on November 5 in West Orange, New Jersey, and brought back to New York where he was remanded to the Orange County Jail. Torres was wanted on charges of predatory sexual assault against a child, rape, criminal sexual act, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.

A 27-year-old man has been convicted of sex abuse and rape of a minor after a two-day jury trial in Wicomico County Circuit Court. Steven Crocker, formerly of Salisbury, was convicted Oct. 26 by Circuit Court Judge Karen M. Dean of sexual abuse of a minor, second-degree rape and related offenses in a case prosecutors say involved a household member, the State's Attorney's Office reported. It said the victim, who is under age 10, reported sexual abuse at the hands of the defendant in October 2021.
