The world’s oldest pigeon has died in the U.S.—he was 44 years old.

The pigeon, nicknamed Sahar, lived in captivity for 44 years and 72 days and made it into the Guinness World Records. Pigeons typically live no longer than 20 years.

His 77-year-old owner considered the bird his best friend: they were always together, and when the man went away, Sahar barely ate and just lay in his cage, waiting for his owner to return.

Did you know that rain noise is bad for dogs' ears?

Dogs don't like to go outside in the rain, not because they're afraid of getting wet, but because the noise of the rain can damage their sensitive ears.

One gram of gold can be used to pull a wire that is 2,610 meters long.

The resulting filament is very thin (2∙10-6 mm in diameter), which is necessary for today's electronics industry, where it is necessary to create electrical circuits in chips of very small size.

A journalist drank only beer for 46 days and lost weight—he was following a centuries-old tradition of Bavarian monks.

— In the 17th century, monks of the Paulaner Order observed a strict fast: for 40 days, they were not allowed to eat solid food, so they brewed a very strong beer—Doppelbock;

— The drink was rich in nutrients, so the fast was not broken. It is called Paulaner Salvator and is still sold worldwide today (it is precisely because of this beer that beer was nicknamed “liquid bread”);

— In 2011, journalist Jay Wilson replicated the monks’ fast and survived on beer alone for 46 days, losing 11 kg in the process. He noted that during the fast, he experienced incredible mental clarity and focus.

Important note: Doppelbock is closer in composition to a thick, nutritious soup than to modern beer, so if you’re going to try this stunt, it should only be with it.

Visitors to the aquarium were startled to see a leopard shark trying to bite off the fin of another shark.

Staff explained that this wasn’t aggression, but simply… flirting—it’s how sharks show interest in one another.

We are born old—scientists have made a mind-boggling discovery that turns our understanding of youth on its head.

— An embryo receives worn-out cells from its mother—in effect, the body is born in the body of an old person;
— In the first two weeks of life, the body “renews” its cells;
— Scientists have learned to replicate this process and rejuvenate cells many times faster and more effectively, literally creating a time machine;
— Results are already in: the cells of 90-year-olds are being rejuvenated, blind mice can see again, and worn-out organs are starting to function;
— Human trials began in March 2026—currently, cells can be turned back by as much as 5 years, and that’s not the limit.

We approve of such discoveries.

The Chinese have created a robot that can serve as a nanny, delivery person, and housekeeper. KinetixAI has unveiled the humanoid KAI: it folds clothes, uses tools, delivers orders, and can help with children. Rumor has it that the price starts at $20,000.

If this information is confirmed, it will be one of the most affordable humanoids of this caliber.

When a cat rubs its face against yours, it marks you as “one of its own” and acknowledges you as the leader.

At that moment, it releases the pheromone F4, which can be interpreted as “you belong to me.” Cats use this pheromone only on those they trust, creating a “family scent” that helps them distinguish their own from strangers. They mark objects with a different substance—F3—which is responsible for marking territory.

In the wild, lower-ranking cats rub against higher-ranking ones, acknowledging their dominance.

A "rainbow" cloud was spotted in Indonesia—it’s not AI, but a real phenomenon known as cloud iridescence.

Sunlight passes through tiny water droplets and ice crystals in the cloud and scatters, creating iridescent hues, almost like a film of gasoline on water.

This is a fairly rare phenomenon because the light must pass at a specific angle and specifically from the edge of a sufficiently dense cloud.

Beans are recognized as a superfood—a study has shown that one serving of legumes a day improves health and well-being.

Soluble fiber balances hormone levels and improves skin health. Bacteria begin to produce more natural butyrate—an acid that reduces inflammation in the brain and triggers the release of the "happiness hormone."

Beans also contain phaseolamine—a compound that acts like "Ozempic," partially blocking the absorption of excess carbohydrates.

Scientists specifically highlight chickpeas, edamame, and black beans: they support the immune system, muscle growth, and improve hair health.

Researchers note that just one serving of legumes a day reduces the risk of premature death by 8%.

"Protein" foods cause cancer and damage the kidneys, according to a study.

Over the past 10 years, people have become hooked on protein products and are consuming 20% more protein on average—this places a heavy strain on the liver, kidneys, and digestive system, significantly increasing the risk of cancer and chronic kidney disease.

At the same time, all “protein” foods are ultra-processed and destroy the body from the inside out—all kinds of protein bars, shakes, and “healthy” snacks are especially dangerous.

Scientists call this trend an “experiment on humans” and believe it is leading to the extinction of humanity.
