Job Summary:
Responsible for the planning, supervising, conducting, and monitoring of the daily preparation, production, and/ or plating of meals according to customer’s specifications and standards. Assists the entire team in the operation of the section and implements the instruction of the Executive Chef.
Head Chef responsible includes planning menus, managing stock, overseeing meal presentation, and managing food safety and hygiene.

Chef Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all meals and all aspects of the kitchens and pantries, which include menu creation, preparation, shopping, stocking, organizing, cleaning, and table management.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills for directing and controlling the food production and service teams at the outlet with no or minimal supervision.
• Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
• Planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
• Overseeing all kitchen operations.
• Coordinating kitchen staff, and assisting them as required.
• Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
• Taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
• Able to run fast-paced restaurant/catering- style kitchen. Superior knowledge of international cooking techniques, ingredients, and plating/presentation.
• Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends.
• Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
Chef Requirements:
• degree/diploma in food preparation
• Work experience 5 years and above
• Past experience as a working chef.
• Advanced knowledge of the culinary arts.
• Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control.
• Portfolio of creative, unique dishes.
