Description:
The Air Conditioning Technician is responsible for assisting in installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the efficient operation of air conditioning units to meet client needs and regulatory standards. The technician must possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

- Install, check, and fix a variety of air conditioning systems, such as window units, ductless mini-split systems, and central air conditioning units.
- Carry out regular maintenance including filter cleaning, refrigerant level checks, moving part lubrication, and electrical component inspections.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and offer prompt, efficient fixes to get functionality back. Systems should be tested to make sure they are performing as intended and are running smoothly.
- Maintain thorough records of all work completed, including maintenance logs, service reports, and part and equipment inventories.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in in electrical or mechanical fields is preferred.
- Good understanding of electrical circuits, refrigeration principles, and HVAC components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, gauges, and meters to assess system performance and identify issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record will be advantageous / but not a must.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts, as needed. Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
