What if we are destined to it?

I need rest but never sleep. So slit my wrists and let them seep.

I hope someday that we will sit down with each other and laugh about our problems.

I hope we take comfort in each other's broken pieces.

I hope we fight to get to that day.

I hope the pain doesn't get to win.

I hope it doesn't blind us with its lies and silence us with its claws.
