The United States has revoked the visas and initiated deportation proceedings against relatives of slain Iranian Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani and former Iranian security chief Ali Larijani.

According to officials, the family members—including Soleimani’s niece and grand-niece, as well as Larijani’s daughter and son-in-law—had their legal status terminated after public expressions of support for the Iranian regime and anti-American rhetoric.

The individuals are currently in ICE custody pending removal from the country.

This move signals a tougher U.S. stance against those linked to Tehran’s leadership.

Human rights groups have criticised the move, which appears to be a premonition for a game of kidnapped between the Larijanis/Soleimani and the fighter pilot of the downed jet.
