Dance with CHILD (Controller for Humanoid Imitation and Live Demonstration)

KIMLAB developed CHILD (Controller for Humanoid Imitation and Live Demonstration), a control interface inspired by the natural way parents guide their children’s movements while using a baby carrier. In this setting, the parent’s full range of motion intuitively maps to the child’s, enabling scaled-down puppeteering.

The system also draws conceptual inspiration from The Mandalorian, where Grogu controls a humanoid robot (IG-11) from within, acting as a pilot.

FlexiTrack is one of three operating modes of the FlexiBowl® system, enabling continuous part feeding without interruptions. Unlike conventional methods that require the disk to stop for each pick, FlexiTrack allows continuous rotation. A real-time vision system tracks parts as they approach the pick area, synchronizing with the robot to enable on-the-fly picking without halting the process.
