Following the events of January 6, the Shelby County Schools superintendent Joris Ray told principals to discuss the Capitol riot as a “teachable moment.” Cordova High School’s Principal Barton Thorne did exactly what the superintendent said.

In a virtual classroom, Thorne talked to students about the threat of Big Tech censorship in the aftermath of the riot. The riot at the US Capitol was used as a justification for Facebook, Twitter and more to censor President Trump and other conservatives. Thorne accused these platforms of deciding who gets to speak and what message or ideology to amplify.

A district report found that more than 70% of the students in the program were white or asian, while nearly 80% of the students in the district are hispanic or black.

Triggering her woke virtue signaling, school committee member Lorna Rivera said "This is just not acceptable! I've never heard these statistics before, and I'm very very disturbed by them."

Students in the program had the opportunity to study subjects in greater depth and were offered more schoolwork than the traditional curriculum requires.

CONGRESS IS OUT OF CONTROL

1. We need term limits. No more career politicians or nepotism.

2. If they make over $1,000,000 in a year they automatically get audited by a third party -- and it should be public record where those funds are coming from

3. Their salary should be equal to the national average. They should not be allowed to vote on their raises. The American people should vote on that and it should be results based.

4. They do not get to set their work schedule. It should be set by the People.

5. Make lobbying illegal.

6. No bill should be drafted by 3rd parties or special interests, or larger than 5 pages -- and all members should be required to read them prior to voting.

7. Their health benefits should be the same as the American people - they pay their own.

8. No pensions. No reimbursements for private travel/meetings.

9. Full transparency of business and non-profit relationships and income

10. Ban all commies from holding public office
