I remember when Ukraine completely refused negotiating to the point of making it illegal to negotiate with Russia.

Now Western media say sanctions must force Russia to negotiate and Russia is losing so hard they don't want a ceasefire because they'd lose even harder if they do? Yet they don't want to negotiate peace either because they believe they will win?

The contradictions are so obvious I just don't understand how they can be so stupid to think everyone will go along with it.

If Russia believed it'd lose in the long run they'd want to negotiate.

If Russia believed they could win with more time they'd want a ceasefire now.

What Russia's position is currently saying:

1. Russia is currently winning on the front.
2. Russia believes it will continue winning going forward.

What Ukraine's position is showing:

1. They are currently losing on the frontline (ceasefire proposal)
2. They believe they can't win in the long run without US support except if they buy time for Europe to militarize and industrialize.

What does this mean for the frontline?

Russia will aim to end the war before Europe industrializes and militarizes preferably gaining what they want through negotiations to normalize relations and avoid war with Europe.

The Russian/Ukrainian front is about 1000km long.

Russia has about 1 million soldiers fighting.

This means an average of 1 soldier for every meter of the front.

Russian army fighting in Ukraine net increases by an average of 33k a month. (Recruits - rotations, casualties, etc.).

We can see the clear results of this at the front.

What we're seeing in Sumy is a Ukrainian defensive line that is not stable because Ukraine simply doesn't have the capacity to rotate forces to cover the entire front anymore.

This will only worsen for Ukraine as time passes.

Curious fact: the Sumy buffer zone created by Russia is already larger than the buffer zone north of Kharkov (started in May 2024). As the Istanbul meeting is over, we are likely to see increased activity along the northern border between Ukraine and Russia.

Покровское направление. Наши бойцы продвинулись в лесополках между Малиновкой и Елизаветовкой. В самой Малиновке бойцы 39-й бригады продолжают зачистку.

Появились снимки авиабазы Дягилево в Рязани.

Судя по снимкам, FPV не смогли поразить стоящую там авиацию. Атака, судя по всему, была отражена. Об этом говорит сгоревшая рядом трава. Вероятно, что горели как раз сбитые FPV.

Была заложена взрывчатка, судя по видео. Опоры моста целые, немного посекло.
