Security researchers just exposed a massive vulnerability in wireless headphones.
Affected brands: Sony, Bose, Marshall, Jabra
The attack:
Developers forgot to close the debug protocol (RACE).
Anyone nearby can connect without authentication.
Extract encryption keys from memory.
Clone them and connect to your phone as "trusted device."
Result: Full access to contacts, calls, voice assistant.
Patches rolling out now. Check your devices.
"How did this happen?"
Simple: They forgot to close debug access in production.
Sound familiar?
In hosting, this happens EVERY DAY:
→ phpMyAdmin left public (default install)
→ SSH running on port 22 (bruteforce paradise)
→ Debug endpoints exposed (Laravel /_ignition, anyone?)
→ Old WordPress installs (wp-admin open to the world)
→ FTP running unencrypted (credentials in plaintext)
Same mistake. Different industry.
WebHostMost security by default:
We don't "forget" to close production debug access.
Because we've seen what happens when you do.
Stay secure!

Everyone installs 5+ plugins:
WP Rocket (cache)
Smush (images)
Autoptimize (CSS/JS)
Some CDN plugin
Some lazy load plugin
Stop.
LiteSpeed Cache does ALL of this. For free.
Why it's #1:
One plugin. Zero bloat.
The catch:
Only works on LiteSpeed servers.
Apache/Nginx? Use something else.
LiteSpeed? This is the only plugin you need.
On WebHostMost:
→ LiteSpeed servers by default
→ LSCache pre-configured
→ Install plugin → works instantly
No setup guides. No debugging.
Just speed.

CVSS Score 10.0 out of 10.0. That's how Patchstack rated the vulnerability in Modular DS plugin.
CVE-2026-23550 allows any unauthenticated user to become site admin through the API route /api/modular-connector/. No login, no password—just send a request and you're admin.
Scale: 40,000+ active installs, actively exploited in the wild right now.
Patch: Released in version 2.5.2 (January 15)
Industry problem: Days or weeks pass between patch release and installation. Sites get compromised in bulk during that window.
At WebHostMost:
40,000 sites at risk. When was the last time you updated your plugins?
Stay tuned!

We just became the first hosting company in the world to accept Telegram Stars as payment.
Not "coming soon".
Not "in beta".
Available right now. For everyone.
How it works:
1. Go to billing
2. Select "Telegram Stars" as payment method
3. Click the link
4. Confirm in Telegram
5. Done.
No credit cards.
No PayPal forms.
No leaving Telegram.
Why we did this:
Most of you already live in Telegram. You chat with Webbee here.
You get support here. You check updates here.
So why the hell should you leave Telegram just to pay a bill?
We're a hosting company built for developers who want things simple, fast, and modern.
Traditional payment gateways? Ancient.
Telegram Stars? The future.
So we built it ourselves. In 2 weeks.
That's the difference between "we should probably do that someday" and "let's ship it now".
You can already manage your entire infrastructure through Webbee in Telegram.
Now you can pay for it here too.
Because friction is for competitors.
Try it on WebHostMost

SolidWP published their January 7 report: → 333 new vulnerabilities in WordPress ecosystem → 253 plugins + 80 themes → 236 still UNPATCHED (71%)
71% of vulnerabilities remain open.
The scale of the problem:
Days, weeks, sometimes months pass between vulnerability disclosure and patch release. Sites get compromised in bulk during that window.
Half of plugin developers notified by Patchstack didn't release a patch before public disclosure.
What this means:
Did you update WordPress yesterday?
What about plugins?
When was the last time you checked all updates are applied?
If the answer is "don't remember" - your site is at risk right now.
At WebHostMost:
333 vulnerabilities in one week.
The industry can't keep up.
Can your host?

Valve designed a custom Linux scheduler for Steam Deck gaming performance.
Meta took that same scheduler and deployed it on their hyperscale data center servers.
Why this works:
The Steam Deck scheduler was optimized for:
→ Responsive UI under heavy load
→ Efficient resource allocation
→ Battery life (power efficiency)
Turns out, those same priorities matter on servers:
→ Low latency responses
→ Efficient compute resource use
→ Power efficiency at scale
The lesson:
Good engineering is good engineering, regardless of where it came from.
Gaming tech solving enterprise problems. Who would've thought?
Stay tuned!

New malware campaign discovered 7 January 2026.
How it works:
Malicious plugin "Modern Recent Posts" gets installed → Shows fake "Critical Java Update Required" pop-up ONLY to admins in wp-admin → Click "UPDATE NOW" → Downloads malware
Why it's dangerous:
❌ Targeted attack: Regular visitors don't see it - only admins
❌ Social engineering: "Severely outdated", "Prevent security breaches"
?upd=1 parameterWhat gets compromised:
→ WordPress environment (backdoor installed)
→ Admin's local machine (malware download)
→ Site control (full admin access)
How to protect:
Red flags:
→ Plugins you didn't install
→ Update prompts inside WordPress admin
→ Urgent security warnings on admin pages
→ Generic plugin names ("Modern Recent Posts")
Real browser updates never happen inside wp-admin.

29.7 Tbps. 14.1 billion packets per second.
And you know what's terrifying?
Who attacked:
Aisuru - a botnet of 1-4 million infected devices worldwide. In Q3 2025, they launched an average of 14 attacks >1 Tbps every single day.
The traffic was so massive it crashed part of the US internet infrastructure. And US providers weren't even the target - they just happened to be in the path of the traffic.
Chunks of this botnet are sold as a service for $2,000-$3,000. Anyone can buy an attack capable of taking down a nation's critical infrastructure.

Why You Need an SEO Plugin?
WordPress doesn't generate proper meta tags, schema markup, or XML sitemaps out of the box. Without SEO optimization, search engines can't properly index and rank your content.
Why Rank Math?
~80KB footprint (one of the lightest SEO plugins)
Modern React-based architecture
Zero impact on Core Web Vitals
What You Actually Get for Free:
5-minute Setup Wizard walks through optimal configuration. No technical knowledge required.
Proper schema markup can increase click-through rates by 20-40% (Google's own data). Search Console integration means you track performance without leaving WordPress.

Scale of the problem:
The largest AI data centers devour >1 gigawatt of electricity. That's enough power to run all of San Francisco.
And you know where this energy comes from? More than half - from fossil fuels. Only a quarter - from renewables.
Why so much?
Hundreds of thousands of GPUs (like Nvidia H100s) work in synchronized clusters as one giant supercomputer. They generate so much heat that regular air conditioning can't handle it.
Solutions:
1. Mount chips on cold water plates
2. Dunk them in baths of cooling fluid
Next step: immersion in seawater
And here's the craziest part:
Google is seriously considering building solar-powered data centers IN SPACE.
We're building AI infrastructure the size of cities, and cooling it with oceans.

Stop Using Backup Plugins for WordPress
Most WordPress users install backup plugins like UpdraftPlus or All-In-One WP.
How backup plugins work?
Plugin runs inside WordPress (PHP)
Creates backup archive
Stores it on YOUR disk (eats storage space)
Slows down your site during backup
Lost when the server fails
Better approach: Infrastructure-level backups
JetBackup (included with WebHostMost)
No setup needed. Included and enabled by default with every plan.
Want manual control?
Advanced Installer Hub lets you create on-demand backups through the control panel. Unlike plugins, it operates at the infrastructure level - no performance impact, no plugin conflicts.
Backup plugins are a workaround for hosts without proper backup infrastructure.
JetBackup + Advanced Installer Hub = actual infrastructure.

Cloudflare Acquires Astro Framework
Astro builds fast websites by loading only critical code. Most of the page is static HTML, interactive components added only where needed.
Used by Porsche, IKEA, Visa, NBC News, and OpenAI.
In 2021, building a fast website required being an expert in JavaScript build tools. Astro made it simple: write content, get speed automatically.
Adoption doubled every year since launch.
Astro stays open-source (MIT license). The team joins Cloudflare to accelerate development. Astro 6 beta just dropped.
Two acquisitions in one week:
Human Native (AI data marketplace) - Jan 15
Astro (web framework) - Jan 16
Strategy: control the full content lifecycle from creation to monetization in the AI era.
Cloudflare now competes directly with Vercel and Netlify for developer ecosystems. Infrastructure providers are moving upstream into developer tools.

Plesk Raises Prices 26% for Third Year Running
Average 26% increase across all tiers, plus transition from annual billing to monthly subscriptions. This eliminates ability to lock in annual rates.
2024: cPanel price increase
2025: cPanel price increase again
2026: Plesk 26% increase + cPanel third increase
Private equity playbook: acquire recurring-revenue software, raise prices annually, maximize EBITDA over 3-5 years, exit.
Small hosting providers struggle to absorb costs. Competitors (DirectAdmin, Enhance) report increased migration interest. Alternative control panels gaining traction.
Infrastructure management through Webbee AI in Telegram: install WordPress, fix errors, manage DNS, deploy sites - all via voice commands or chat. No control panel clicks required.
Plesk users paying 26% more for same features. We're adding conversational AI management for free.

Cloudflare CDN vs Self-Hosted CDN
CDN delivers static assets from servers close to users. Faster loads, lower bandwidth costs.
330+ data centers, zero config, free tier with DDoS protection. Change DNS, enable proxy, done.
Trade-off: single point of failure. Cloudflare down (twice in December 2025) = your site down even if hosting is fine. Vendor lock-in.
You control infrastructure. Choose provider, configure rules, pay per GB ($0.01-$0.04/GB).
More work, zero dependency. CDN fails? Origin still works. Failures isolated.
When to use
Cloudflare: convenience, instant setup, free tier.
Self-hosted: control, compliance, no vendor lock-in.
We don't force Cloudflare. Use what you want. Your infrastructure, your choice.

January 7, Pebblebed researchers analyzed 125,183 bugs from 20 years of Linux kernel history.
Average bug lifetime: 2.1 years before discovery.
But some subsystems are far worse:
→ CAN bus drivers: 4.2 years
→ SCTP networking: 4.0 years
→ Longest-lived: 20.7 years (buffer overflow in ethtool)
13.5% of bugs hide for 5+ years. These are the dangerous ones.
Why so long?
Only 28% of bugs have proper Fixes: tags. Niche protocols get less testing. Ancient bugs from 2010 take 10 years to find.
Good news: Bugs from 2024 are found in 5 months vs 10 years in 2010.
Bad news:
Your production kernel RIGHT NOW has bugs that:
→ Won't be found for 2-5 years
→ Are already exploited by ransomware (but nobody knows yet)
→ Will get a patch 1 month after public disclosure
You can't patch bugs you don't know exist.
But you can monitor when they're exploited.
Stay tuned!

Product pages cache perfectly. Load in 1 second.
Checkout pages? 3-4 seconds. High abandonment.
The difference?
Product pages:
→ Static content, perfect cache
Checkout pages:
→ Dynamic cart data
→ Real-time tax calculations
→ Payment gateway API calls
→ Session management
→ No cache (or breaks checkout)
Standard cache plugins can't help here.
What actually works:
Every 100ms delay = 1% conversion loss.
At WebHostMost:
→ Redis pre-configured
→ PHP-FPM optimized for WooCommerce
→ LiteSpeed Cache with WooCommerce presets
Your hosting stack IS your checkout optimization.
Install WooCommerce + optimization via Webbee:
"Install WooCommerce with LiteSpeed optimization"
Done in 90 seconds.
