Hackathon with a $3 Million Prize, a Storm in a Teacup, and TON Gateway in Dubai!

🔥 Gate Group is launching an epic TON hackathon with a massive prize pool of $3 million! It’s a golden chance for the brightest minds to show what they’re made of. The best projects will get strong backing from organizers and fans. The three teams that make it to the top will split $20,000, while Gate Ventures is ready to invest up to $500,000 in the top ideas! This support gives these projects a chance to break into the market and seriously level up, pushing blockchain technology into the real world!

⚡️ The past couple of weeks have been a real storm in a teacup for the market: altcoin prices have been bouncing like they’re on a trampoline. Bitcoin took a nosedive to $66,500, then bounced back to $73,500, only to drop again to around $69,000. Such swings have traders and even our audience feeling jittery. But don’t worry; these fluctuations are typical market moves, especially during times of global uncertainty.

❤️ And don’t forget, on November 1-2, TON Gateway is happening in Dubai, focusing on the TON and all things Web3. Over 1,500 participants are expected, including speakers like Steve Yun, President of the TON Foundation, and Jack Booth, Co-Founder of TON Society. The event program includes networking, discussions, and workshops on topics like the growth of the TON ecosystem, stablecoin adoption, DeFi, gaming on TON, and the journey toward decentralization. Our team’s CEO WEB3 — @ego_identity, is already on the scene, sharing highlights in their stories!

What idea would you propose at the TON Hackathon?

How Blogs and Forums Gave Us a Voice — And What Do Social Networks Have to Do with It?

📰 With the rise of Web2.0, the internet stopped being just a collection of static pages. Now, every user could not only read but create their own content. This sparked a boom in personal blogs on standalone sites — the first creative workshops online. But capitalism did its thing — big companies quickly spotted the opportunity to monetize this space, and a new era of online communication began.

🚀 First on the scene were Blogger and LiveJournal. Blogger drew users with its simplicity and accessibility, offering a free platform for everyone (well, everyone except Runet users who hardly knew about it). LiveJournal let people share their “very important” thoughts in real time — any “respectable” person of that time had a blog. And forums? Some, like AG.ru, gathered hundreds of thousands of users and became hotspots for discussions and debates.

But why did blogs and forums lose popularity over time? It’s simple: they laid the groundwork for social networks, which improved on their limitations. Without blogs and forums, social media wouldn’t be the powerhouse it is today. Yes, those sites may have faded, but their contribution to the internet’s evolution is undeniable. They paved the way for what we now use 24/7, and that’s something to appreciate.

What blog or forum platforms were the most significant to you, and what did you value most about them?

dApp — Your Ticket to the Web3.0 Reality

🚀 Decentralized apps are a breath of fresh air in the tech world. They run on smart contracts, delivering freedom, security, and transparency to your online experience. Say goodbye to old-school services — dApps put you fully in control. The "bouncers" of centralization are fading into the past, and now you’re calling the shots in your digital life!

🔥 Let’s look at some of the coolest examples. DeDust is an exchange where users can trade with minimal fees and earn from liquidity pools. MyTonWallet is a non-custodial TON wallet for easy crypto management, with built-in swaps and staking. And for games? Hamster Kombat — the tap-happy blockbuster that’s hooked 300 million users who managed to rake in some serious earnings!

🌐 Mass adoption of dApps is a done deal. We’re getting closer to the moment when they’ll crash into everyone’s daily life with both feet. So, are you ready to take that step toward decentralization? The time isn’t far off when you’ll be able to order a pizza through a dApp, and a drone will drop it right at your door, on time and no wrong turns…

Have you tried any dApps yet, and which ones do you think are the most convenient and cutting-edge?

From Boring Symbols to Stylish .eth Addresses

🌐 .eth domains are the latest format for decentralized addresses, replacing those long crypto addresses with easy-to-remember names. Finally! Now you can forget about accidental errors when copying endless strings of characters and feel like a civilized person.

⚙️ Technically, .eth domains are tied to smart contracts on the Ethereum network, giving you complete control with no middlemen. No one but you can block your domain or alter its records. Link your domain to a crypto wallet, and voilà — send and receive funds with a stylish address like duroff.eth instead of a string that looks like weird stuff.

.eth domains make managing your digital identity not just convenient but secure too. With Web3.0, everything will finally be just how you always wanted: no red tape, just freedom, blockchain, and complete control!

Have you experienced difficulties with long crypto addresses, and how would having a .eth domain help you avoid them?

Telegram Bots and Scams — How Not to Lose Your Crypto

✈️ Imagine scrolling through Telegram and suddenly coming across a bot promising easy money or a cool airdrop. At first glance, it all seems legit and tempting — who doesn’t want a little extra crypto! But here’s the catch: behind every “free cheese” lies a scammer. Scammers are getting more creative, shamelessly exploiting poor bots for their schemes.

🥷 These scams can be incredibly sneaky, from crypto projects that lure you into claiming tokens, where you’re the one actually paying to altcoin pump schemes — you’ll top up your balance and even “grow” it, but when it’s time to withdraw, you’re left with nothing but a fiasco! Scammers even use official exchanges: they set up a charge of 50 USDT in the xRocket bot, with a description that says “Receive 15 TON ($78.573).” The unsuspecting mammoth user sees a legit-looking bot and pays for thin air without a second thought.

🛡 But it’s not all bad news! Vigilance and trusted sources are your best allies. Make sure the bot has a verification checkmark 🔜 watch out for the SCAM label 🔜 avoid offers that seem too good to be true 🔜 and never send funds to shady projects. Staying alert is your superpower in the crypto world!

What’s the most creative scam bot you’ve encountered, and what tipped you off that it was suspicious?
