Jaya Talent Signal

The crypto job market today (July 28, 2026): still tight, but showing first green shoots.

🦋Hiring is way down from its 2022 peak — January 2026 ran at only about 6.5 new positions per day, down 80% year over year.

🦋 Layoffs dominated H1 — Coinbase, Gemini, Crypto.com, Kraken, Algorand, OP Labs, PIP Labs, and Messari all cut staff, with March the peak.

🦋 Live boards right now show a few hundred quality roles: 353 remote crypto jobs active, paying $60k–$285k/year at firms like JPMorgan, Binance, and CoinGecko.

🦋 What’s hot: engineering (#1), compliance/legal (fast-rising #2), and AI-crypto roles. Banks are building; crypto-native firms staying lean.

🦋 Fresh tailwind: Bitcoin rebounded to ~$62,000 in early July after weak U.S. jobs data - the first positive macro signal, though hiring hasn’t caught up yet.

🎉 Hi everyone! Please welcome Uche, our Research & Automation Associate at Jaya Talent!

Uche is taking on a big one he'll be managing 30+ job board aggregators across digital assets, hedge funds, fintech, and private equity, covering everything from marketing and partnerships to C-level roles and beyond.

But here's what makes this really cool: you're going to start seeing way more salary and market data, fundraising details, and hiring insights in your feed - the kind of intel that actually helps you make smarter career decisions. No fluff, just real numbers and trends from what we're seeing on the ground.

Meet Uche:
I'm a software and DeFi engineer with a background in smart contract development, Web3, and startup engineering. I genuinely enjoy building things from scratch and turning crazy ideas into something that actually works.

Fun fact: I love spontaneous adventures - I just need a little time to spontaneously prepare for them 😂

If you haven't joined our job aggregators yet - now's the time! 🚀

Some of these have been around for a while and are already solid communities. Others we're launching soon. Either way, we'll keep you posted as things grow.
