๐Ÿ”ธ In 2018, worldwide shipments of shuttle-less looms increased by 39% to 133,500 units. Thereby, shipments of air-jet and water-jet looms increased by 21% to 32,750 and 91% to 69,240 respectively. The deliveries of rapier/projectile looms dropped by 5% to 31,560.
๐Ÿ”น The main destination for shuttle-less looms in 2018 was Asia & Oceania with 93% of all worldwide deliveries. Almost 92% of all water-jet looms, 83% of all rapier/projectile looms and 99% of all air-jet looms went to that region.
๐Ÿ”ธThe main investors were China and India in all the three categories. Deliveries of weaving machines to the two countries reached 81% of total deliveries. Turkey and Bangladesh further played an important role in the rapier/projectile segment with a combined 18% of global shipments.

๐Ÿš€USTER launches a specific fibre cleaning system protecting nonwovens producers against risks like contamination in end-products, negative user perception of quality and missing standards.
๐Ÿ”ปFor best detection results the new USTERยฎ JOSSI VISION SHIELD N is tuned to identify the typical disturbing contamination types in nonwovens, including colored fibers, metal or wood particles and grease deposits. The system is designed to be installed on high-production lines and built with the most durable materials, using stainless steel to prevent abrasion in areas which come into contact with the fibers.

๐Ÿ”ธFor more security and full control of contamination and defects USTER offers the ultimate solution to the nonwovens community by combining the new USTERยฎ JOSSI VISION SHIELD N fiber cleaning system and the USTERยฎ EVS FABRIQ VISION N for in-process quality assurance.

โšก๏ธPicanol has launched the new TerryPlus-i machine based on the OmniPlus-i which was introduced at ITMA Barcelona in 2019.
๐Ÿ”ธThis TerryPlus-i airjet machine was developed with four design principles in mind: smart performance, sustainability inside, driven by data, and intuitive control.
๐Ÿ”นThe unique pneumatical pile backrest ensures optimum loop formation regardless of fabric design. The rigid yet extremely light construction ensures a highly dynamic behavior, guaranteeing perfect loop formation for even the most complicated terry designs โ€“ be it very light towels or heavy bathmats. Put simply, this is by far the best pile compensation system ever!
๐Ÿ”ธSpecial attention was given to ease of use thanks to a completely new human-machine interface. The new display measures 15.6 inches and it is equipped with all of the functionalities you are familiar with from your smartphone: touch, swipe, and the latest connection possibilities: ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Near Field communication (NFC).
๐Ÿ”นThe TerryPlus-i comes with two possible prewinders: the Blue 22 and the Blue 11 (the one with separate windings). Both are equipped with the easy set function which manages all settings electronically through the display. Consequently, there is no longer any need for tools or special keys to tune the prewinders. And all of this can be done without having to stop the machine, which enables you to optimize and reduce the waste length to an absolute minimum.

Hi everyone!
I hope you are doing well. Firstly, I apologize for not updating the channel since long time ago!
The pandemic has impacted every aspect of our lives, but, fortunately, we have gradually learned to cope with these changes. Please get in touch with me and suggest the content or anything you want me to talk about. I would be happy to become familiar with you all.

๐Ÿ“Œ3-D fabrics are technical textiles made on 3 planar geometry on contrary to 2-D fabrics which are weaved in 2 planes. In 2D fabrics, yarns are weaved perpendicularly, but in 3-D fabrics, yarns are not only weaved perpendicularly but also at an angle with each other depending upon the requirement.

Weaving Machine Developments

๐Ÿ”ธEven though, in most cases, the weaving process is the same as it ever was โ€” create a shed, insert the filling and beat up the pick โ€” todayโ€™s weaving machines are highly technical instruments featuring numerous innovations that have sped-up production, improved quality and saved energy.

๐Ÿ”นMany of the latest developments in weaving machines have focused on automation, digital upgrades and innovative end products that add value including technical textiles, e-textiles and 3D structures.

๐Ÿ”ธโ€œWith labor shortages impacting every weaving mill in North America, we see increasing demand from our customers for automation technologies for the weaving mill,โ€ said Oliver Meier, Textile director, North America, Stรคubli. โ€œAdditionally, in the residential contract business, we see a trend developing for greater jacquard machine flexibility to address a wide range of fabric constructions that can satisfy market demands faster.โ€
