Hello Everyone,
Long time, no talk.
I understand that many of you are going through a lot of uncertainty right now. Many of you are disappointed, worried, demotivated, tired, helpless and what not.
It’s true that RBI has not treated its aspirants fairly over the last few years. But what can be done? This is life. This is what we have and this is what we have to compete with.
Everyone has their own problems. Some are unemployed, some are still students, some are working in banks, some are in insurance, some are travelling for hours for their jobs and some are sitting at home waiting for that one exam to be cleared. Success and failure have become a social comparison and bias. There is no exact definition of either.
But what is defined? It's your willingness, your determination, your optimism and whether you truly want to change the position you are in.
No one is going to rescue you from where you are. It is only you who can bring that change. The only question is: how badly do you want it?
Whatever needs to be done, ultimately, has to be done by you. So make a plan, strategise your preparation and take care of yourself as well. Because, as said, no one is coming to rescue you.
Change your perspective if you have to. Think in terms of risk vs. reward.
If you are staying up late at night, waking up early, travelling for hours and making sacrifices because you want to clear one exam because clearing it could unlock countless opportunities for you: a new life, a new career, a stable source of income, prestige and long-term security, then there is nothing wrong with giving a few years of your life to determination and consistent effort.
Especially when it is something you genuinely desire, something you have consciously chosen to go after.
If you succeed, you won’t share the responsibility of your success with anyone else. So why are you losing hope right now?
It is personal. It is your journey. It is your own.
These exams do provide security but they are not the only destination you were meant to reach. We don’t know what lies ahead.
You have already had your share of battles whether it was B.Sc., UPSC, RBI, friendships, or life itself. And, to be honest, that’s life.
Do not overthink everything. Life is too short for that.
Your years of hard work have not gone to waste. You may have made friends. You may have helped people. You may have gained exposure. And above all, you have learnt life lessons that some people only learn in their 50s or 60s.
Everything happens for a reason. Just let things settle down. Let the river flow.
Do not keep wondering why you are not at this end or that end of the river. Just keep moving. Everything eventually reaches the ocean.
All of this is temporary.
And once you reach the ocean, nobody can tell from which end of the river you arrived.
Modi, Ambani, you and me, eventually, we are all the same and equal.
At the end of it all, everything starts making sense. All those years of effort eventually take you somewhere. Life is like the tide of the sea struggle and hard work do not keep you stagnant forever.
At some point, life will treat you fairly.
So stick to the plan. Keep going. Trust the process, and trust in God.
And if you have come this far, don’t lose your grip. Don’t lose your chance.
Because what if?
Maybe we will wait for it.
