Before you enter any trade ask yourself 2 questions.

If you are comfortable with both, then take the trade with confidence that you understand the risk.

You can see where I indicated an invalidation π« point on the chart, where I will exit if things don't go according to plan.
This is to prevent me from larger loss than I bargained for.
π₯ Unfortunately it did turn out to be a losing trade. However without that invalidation point, I'd have suffered a heavier defeat.π

Trend has been progressing nicely to the upside. π
You can see we have a large trend and a smaller one taking shape.π
Inside the smaller trend, we have recently broken below the lower boundary after the market had completed waves 1, 2, & 3.
Now we expect wave 4 correction to stay above the ending point of wave 1 (setup invalid)π«
π‘WAVE GUIDLINES:
If Wave 2 was a sideways correction to 23.6% or 38.2% fibo level.βοΈ
expect wave 4 to be a sharp correction to 50% or 61.8% fibo level.βοΈ
We are currently resting on the 50% level. Do you think we will get to 61.8% or will the Bulls re-enter the market here?

This is one of the most common mistakes when practicing Wave Principles.
What's the solution?:
π‘Keep the rules of the wave structure in mind. You can see the rules of an impulsive wave here β‘οΈ Link.
If wave 3 violates the rules, you're likely to be in an extension.
This is very common for one of the 3 impulsive waves to extend.
On the chart below;
