THIS FLAG WAS BANNED BY THE NSDAP
Adolf Hitler approved the Law for the Protection of the National Socialist Workers’ Party Insignia of April 1937, which forbade non-party organizations from using NSDAP symbols, such as the swastika. One of the organizations targeted by this law was the German Christians, whose symbol was a cross with a swastika. Hence why you cannot find any pictures of it beyond 1937. In June, the Ministry of Church Affairs ordered all church groups to stop using NSDAP symbols.
An excerpt from the decree reads:
"According to the Law on the Protection of NSDAP Designations of April 7, 1937 - RGB1.I p. 442 - the designations used by the National Socialist German Workers' Party, its branches and its affiliated associations for their officials, their structure, their institutions and symbols may not be used by other associations, either alone or in conjunction with additions."
Minister of Church affairs' Hans Kerrl also wrote:
"After further thorough examination of the facts, I came to the conclusion that the use of the swastika and the swastika bent into a sun wheel by religious societies and ideological communities of all kinds, including the German believing ideological communities, is UNDESIRABLE."

The Deutsche Christen (DC) complained to the NSDAP on the ban:
"Mein Führer!
On behalf of the National Church Movement of German Christians and the regional churches of Mecklenburg and Thuringia run by National Socialists, I submit to you a copy of an order from the Secret State Police Office in Berlin, which prohibits the National Church Movement from displaying badges in which the swastika is combined with the Christian cross shows. I ask you, my leader, to revoke this order [...] the Secret State Police Office takes unilateral action against the Christian National Socialists, I am forced to ask you, my leader, to protect our honor"
The ban on organizations such as the Deutsche Christen using the Christian cross with the swastika still remained. Those that tried to use this banned flag as an example of the NSDAP being a Christian movement will be mislead. The NSDAP did not want their Swastika to be used in both Christian organizations and Churches. Which is why there is extremely few genuine pictures of this flag in the Third Reich compared to everything else such as the national flags or regular party badges.
Why would the NSDAP feel the need to specifically target the churches into not using the swastika if they supposedly were perfectly fine with the churches using their politics to promote Christianity?
