BTR-ZD: Gun Savvy

The BTR-ZD is a light Soviet self-propelled anti-aircraft unit, developed as a makeshift solution based on the design of the BTR-D airborne APC. Coming soon as part of the next major War Thunder update, Danger Zone, the BTR-ZD will join the battle and provide capable air defense for the mid rank units of the Soviet ground forces tree!

Your Personal Fireworks in War Thunder
Commanders!

You have probably already seen fireworks that War Thunder celebrates important dates with, such as New Year or Victory Day. We have changed the way they work a bit.

Firstly, the fireworks will no longer be displayed on the battlefield: that bothered some players. Now they will only occur in your hangar. Secondly, for worldwide celebrations like the aforementioned New Year and Victory Day we’ve added national holidays for each nation in which War Thunder is translated: for example, Independence Day. And thirdly, now you can define when the fireworks will be displayed just for you.

We’ve added an option for players to set their personal holidays. You can learn how to do that in the wiki.

Create your calendar — add, for example, your birthday or the anniversary of your wedding. And then on these important dates War Thunder will greet you with a display of fireworks.

StuG III

The most well-known vehicles of the Wehrmacht are obviously the fearsome Panthers, the thick armoured Ferdinands and the mighty Tigers. On paper, those vehicles were almost perfect, but in reality each of them came with at least a few big caveats, from their exorbitant price to overly complicated maintenance. Regardless, there was still A LOT of work in the field that needed to be done, and that work was mostly carried out by less flashy or famous tanks, like the Panzerkampfwagen IV – and SPGs, like the Sturmgeschutz III, also known as the StuG.
