The F-14 Tomcat, an American carrier-based fighter, was rightly considered one of the most advanced aircraft of the Cold War. Even its early variants boasted a powerful radar and long-range Phoenix missiles. At high speeds, the Tomcat’s engines retained tremendous thrust, and combined with its variable-sweep wing, this gave the aircraft outstanding flight performance by the standards of carrier aviation.

But keeping any version on the WiP client effectively blocks the deployment of subsequent versions, as deployment of urgent fixes would either enable sound mods for everyone without that step of gathering stability stats. This might lead to crashes, or would make us constantly remove and re-introduce support of the sound mods every other version on the WiP client. Leading to wasted time and delay the urgent fixes from reaching the production version of the game.
However, in the upcoming days, after the currently planned urgent fixes reach production, we plan to enable sound mods on WiP client for testing.

The Japan Self-Defense Forces were established on July 1st 1954. Initially, they held only a defensive mandate, but over time they began participating in international operations (typically UN peacekeeping operations) and providing assistance to their allies. The Self-Defense Forces are also deployed to assist during major natural disasters, such as the earthquakes of 1995 and 2011.
When: From July 1st (09:00 GMT) until July 4th (09:00 GMT).
Where: Japan > Bluewater fleet / Aviation > Premium vehicles.
IJN Kiyoshimo (rank III) for 2,440 Golden Eagles
▪️IJN Kiyoshimo lacks armor-piercing shells, making it better suited for a support role. It is well-equipped for this task, boasting secondary-caliber guns capable of fending off both boats and aircraft. Against larger targets, it can launch powerful Type 93 610 mm torpedoes, ensuring they don’t get too comfortable either!

The J2M4 Kai features improved speed and a higher rate of climb compared to earlier versions of the Raiden, thanks to the installation of a new 1,854-horsepower engine. It is armed with four 20 mm autocannons and can carry two 60 kg high-explosive bombs into combat.
Inside this trophy, you’ll receive one of four previously available decals:
The “Tank Battalion Flag” decal is located in the “Japan → Tanks” vehicle customization section. The other decals are found in the “Holidays” section.

The aircraft that left the biggest mark in history were usually the ones that rolled off assembly lines by the thousands and could turn the tide on an entire front. Everyone’s heard of planes like the Mustang and the Spitfire. But working alongside them were always the “dark horses” — small-run aircraft and prototypes. They were rarely inferior to their legendary counterparts, but for one reason or another, they never went into mass production. One example of this kind of destiny is the Heinkel He 100, which, despite all its advantages, never got to become a mass-produced Luftwaffe fighter.

▪️Sound mods can once again be used. If a sound mod stops working during a battle, you’ll see a warning the next time you launch the client. We’re continuing to refine the criteria for detecting sound mod issues, so if you are certain your mod does not affect client stability, you can simply dismiss the message.
❗️ We have fixed all currently known causes of crashes. However, combining different modifications may still lead to game instability; so use sound mods at your own risk.
If a modification causes the game to run unstably, or if you are unhappy with the result, you can revert everything to the way it was:
1. Open the config.blk file and change the line `enable_mod:b=yes` to `enable_mod:b=no`, or delete the line entirely.
2. Delete the `mod` folder and all its contents from the `sound` folder.
After doing this, War Thunder will revert to using the default sound effects.
Aircraft
▪️F-2A F-2A ADTW — a bug that caused the loss of target tracking outside the scan zone in TWS mode has been fixed.
▪️Spitfire F Mk IXc — a bug that prevented selecting a weapon loadout consisting solely of forward-firing armament with no bombs has been fixed.
▪️Su-30MKK (China) — a bug where the LD-10 anti-radiation missile loadout was listed under the “air-to-air” weapon category instead of “air-to-ground” one has been fixed.
Interface
▪️Improved the display of leaderboards for football events featuring a league system: promotion and relegation icons are now shown, along with a message indicating that promotion will not occur if there is an insufficient number of participants.
Controls
▪️A bug where controlling the cursor with the gamepad D-pad could cause it to spontaneously move to a random position on the screen has been fixed. This was particularly disruptive when applying decals or working with 3D decorations in the vehicle customization menu.

France made extensive use of aircraft since the First World War, and placed special emphasis on developing its air force during the interwar period; it was established as a separate military branch on July 2nd 1934. France fought on various fronts during the Second World War, with French pilots distinguishing themselves both within the ranks of the British Royal Air Force and in the service of the USSR (notably in the famous “Normandie-Niemen” squadron). After the war, France continued to develop its aircraft manufacturing industry, gaining renown for aircraft such as the Mirage and the Rafale.
