every moment is golden, and is a chance to increase our reward in these ten days. take extra measures to stay away from haram, read the qurān frequently, make plenty of dua and constantly keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah, wherever you are.
Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, ﷺ said, “No good deeds are better than what is done in these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.” Some companions of the Prophet said, “Not even jihad in the way of Allah?” The Prophet said, “Not even jihad in the way of Allah, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth at risk and he returns with nothing.”

short reminder on this blessed friday in these blessed ten days ♥️
On the authority of Anas رضي الله عنه who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “Allah the Almighty has said: ‘O Son of Adam, as long as you invoke Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O Son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and you then asked forgiveness from Me, I would forgive you. O Son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the Earth, and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it [too].’

many fear not being confident when making dua, stuttering, or blanking out and not knowing what to say. firstly, know that Allah is the All-Knowing and All-Hearing. He already knows what is in your heart, and what matters most is your sincerity in your duā.
secondly, learn the etiquettes of dua, call Allah by His Great Names and Attributes.
thirdly, follow the sunnah of the prophet ﷺ. He ﷺ had comprehensive speech and thus his duas were also comprehensive. He had جوامع الكلم. Do not linger on just one specific thing, rather ask for the best. Do not just ask for jannah , ask for Al firdaws. Do not ask for the best only in this life but also in the next, and so on.
finally, know who your Lord is. have conviction / يقين that He will answer your duas.
وفقنا الله جميعاً 🤍

‘Ataa’ said: “ „Ubayd ibn „Umayr and I entered upon Aa‟ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and Ibn „Umayr said to her, „Tell us of the most amazing thing you saw on the part of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.‟ She wept and said, „He got up one night and said, “O „Aa‟ishah, leave me to worship my Lord.” I said, “By Allah, I love to be close to you, and I love what makes you happy.” So he got up and purified himself, then he stood and prayed. He kept weeping until his lap got wet, then he wept and kept weeping until the floor got wet. Bilaal came to tell him that it was time to pray, and when he saw him weeping, he said, “O Messenger of Allah, you are weeping when Allah has forgiven you all your past and future sins?” He said, “Should I not be a grateful slave? Tonight some aayaat have been revealed to me; woe to the one who recites them and does not think about what is in them: “ Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth...”

A man entered upon Umar رضي الله عنه seeking permission to sit with him during the mid-day (when it is extremely hot).
‘Umar رضي الله عنه made him wait for a long time (lit. prevented him) and then (finally spoke and) gave him permission and said:
“I slept missing my daily portion of the Quran (hizb) so I was making it up (that is why I did not respond to you).”

I served the Messenger of Allah ʿalayhi al-salam for ten years and he never said about something I did, "Why did you do it?" nor for something I failed to do, "Why did you not do it?" nor did he ever say about a thing, "I wish it was not so," nor about a thing that was not, "I wish it were so." If someone in the family blamed me he would say, "Leave him be, it was destined to be and it happened."
