and the recitation of the kitab: following it and acting upon it, like ibn masud رضي الله عنه (when commenting on the verse ‘Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital' — al baqarah:121’) said:

They make lawful what it allows and they prohibit what it makes unlawful, and they believe in that which is ambiguous in it, and they act according to its rulings.

therefore the one who is sincere to Allah has tasted the sweetness of his servitude to Allah that which prevents him from his servitude to others, and the sweetness of his love for Allah that which prevents him from loving others, for there is nothing sweeter, more tender, more tender and more gentle than the sweetness of iman that includes his servitude to Allah, his love for Allah, and his sincerity to His religion.

Whoever repents after his wrongdoing and reforms himself, Allah will turn to him (with mercy). Surely, Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

فالله عزّ وجلّ أفرحُ بتوبة عبده إذا تاب إليه من هذا الرّجل براحلته، وليس الله عزّ وجلّ بمحتاجٍ إلى توبتنا، بل نحن مفتقرونَ إليه في كلّ أحوالنا، لكن لكرمه جلّ وعلا ومحبّته للإحسان و الفضل والجودِ يفرحُ هذا الفرح الذي لا نظير له بتوبة الإنسان إذا تاب إليه

Thus Allah is happier with the repentance of His servant if he repents to Him than this man with his camel, and Allah is not in need of our repentance, rather we are in need of Him in all our conditions, but because of His generosity, and His love for benevolence, His fadl, and goodness, Allah’s unparalleled joy rejoices with the repentance of a person when he repents to Him.

المنسوب إلى رسول الله ﷺ في باب الوعظ والفضائل ترغيباً أو ترهيباً ينقسم إلى ٣ أقسام:
١. صحيحٍ مقبول
٢. ضعيفٍ
٣. وموضوعٍ
فليس كلّه صحيحًا مقبولاً، ونحن في غنىً عن الضعيف والموضوعِ.

• فالموضوعُ اتفق العلماء رحمهم الله، على أنه لا يجوز ذكره ونشره بين الناس، لا في باب الفضائل والترغيب والترهيب، ولا في غيره، إلّا من ذكره ليُبَيِّنَ حاله.

• والضعيف اختلف فيه العلماء ، والذين قالوا بجواز نشره ونقله اشترطوا فيه ٣ شروط

١. أن لا يكون الضعفُ شديداً
٢. أن يكون أصل العمل الذي رتّب عليه الثواب أو العقاب ثابتاً بدليلٍ صحيح
٣. أن لا يعتقد أنّ النبي ﷺ قالهُ، بل يكون متردِّداً غيرَ جازمٍ، لكنّه راجٍ في باب الترغيبِ، خائفٌ في باب التّرهيب.

‎“Blessed is he who joined his sin with an apology, and followed his mouth with his istighfar, during the night and at the ends of the day.”

four reasons as to why iman decreases:
- turning away from knowing Allah and His Names and Attributes
- turning away from looking at the universal and shari’i/ legislative signs, because this necessitates heedlessness and hardness of heart
- lack of doing good deeds
- sinning, as Allah said:
'No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning' al mutaffifin:14

‏قوله: «وقد لا يدخل في اسم الإيمان المطلق»

أي : في مطلق اسم الإيمان.
كما في قوله تعالى: «إنما المؤمنون الذين إذا ذكر الله وجلت قلوبهم وإذا تليت عليهم آياته زادتهم إيماناً» [الأنفال: ٢ ]
فـ 'إنما' أداةُ حصرٍ، يعني: ما المؤمنون إلّا هؤلاء، والمراد بالمؤمنين يعني: ذَوي الإيمان المطلق الكامل.

فلا يدخل في المؤمنين هنا الفُسَّاقُ، لأن الفاسق لو تلوت عليه آيات الله ما زادته إيماناً، ولو ذَكَرتَ الله له لم يَوجَل قلبهُ.

اللَّهُمَّ يا مُقَلِّبَ القُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قُلُوبَنَا على دِيْنِكَ، ويا مُصَرِّفَ القُلُوبِ صَرِّفْ قُلُوْبَنَا على طَاعَتِك

رقّة القلب وتأثره بعد قراءة القرآن من علامات رحمة الله بالعبد، إنّ الله من رحمته بعبده أن يرزقه لين القلب وخشوعهِ، وهذه الرقّة الحاصلة إنّما هي فضلٌ وفتحٌ لا يؤتيه الله أي أحد، وكم من أُناس يشكون عدم التأثر بالقرآن ومواعظه، وما كان هذا إلا بتوفيقه سبحانه، {قل إنّ الفضل بيد الله}.

A man was with the Prophet ʿalayhi al-salam when another passed by and he said, ‘Messenger of Allah, I love that man.’ The Prophet ʿalayhi al-salam asked, ‘Have you told him?’ He said no. The Prophet said, ‘Tell him.’ So he ran after him and said, ‘I love you for the sake of Allah.’ The other replied, ‘May Allah, for whose sake you love me, also love you.’
