āishah رضي الله عنها reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught her this supplication: "O Allah, I ask You for all that is good, now or in the future, what I know and what I do not know. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from all evil, now or in the future, what I know and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your slave and Prophet has asked You for, and I seek refuge with You from the evil from which Your slave and Prophet sought refuge. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for that which brings one closer to it, in word and deed, and I seek refuge in You from Hell and from that which brings one closer to it, in word and deed. And I ask You to make every decree that You decreed concerning me good."

lately…
you might’ve missed your prayers or woken up late to them
you might’ve said something you didn’t want to say
you might’ve quarreled with a loved one over something minuscule
you’ve might’ve done something you shouldn’t have
you might’ve reacted harshly to someone
You might’ve broken a promise
You might’ve spoken to someone you shouldn’t have
you might’ve been tempted to dress a certain way you shouldn’t have
you might’ve gone to areas you shouldn’t have
you might’ve watched or listened to something you shouldn’t have
you might’ve not read the Quran as much as you could’ve have
you might’ve not benefitted from your time in good as you should’ve
…. and the list goes on. perhaps while reading this you might’ve reflected over what you have done, and yet there is so much that the scribes write that we don’t know of or forget.
Not a word does he (or she) utter but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it)
in these blessed hours of friday, make tawbah, seek forgiveness, turn that page around and don’t end the day without doing so. we have a Lord that is the Most Compassionate and Forgiving. Turn to Him.
He is the constant in a world that is not. He is the Eternal in a world that is not. His promise is true and His punishment is true. Jannah is true, and Jahannam is true. And He is always near to the one that calls out to Him.
And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright.

Benefiting people is a blessing. Whoever fulfills a need of someone should not busy himself with waiting for people to thank him instead of thanking Allah for such a blessing. It’s from Allah’s blessing upon you to have made fulfilling people’s needs on your hands.

One of the best kinds of doing good is worshipping the Creator by praying at night, which is indicative of sincerity and of harmony between what is in the heart and the words one utters.
Hence Allah says: they — namely the doers of good used to sleep but little at night that is, their sleep at night was little. most of the night was spent in devotion to their Lord, by praying, reading Qur’an, remembering Allah, calling upon Him and beseeching Him.
and before dawn that is, the time just before dawn they would seek forgivenes from Allah
– tafsir si’di, سورة الذاريـٰت

Every time time your past sins come back to haunt you, and the shame that is still lingering from your mistakes overtakes you, and the shaytans whispers taunt you, remember the words of our beloved Prophet ﷺ
The one who repents from sin is like the one who did not sin.
And this is enough of an honour and praise for you, oh slave of Allah.

And (there are) others who have acknowledged their sins, they have mixed a deed that was righteous with another that was evil. Perhaps Allâh will turn unto them in forgiveness. Surely, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Do you know what is backbiting?" The Companions said: "Allah and His Messenger know better." Thereupon he said, "Backbiting is talking about your (Muslim) brother in a manner which he dislikes." It was said to him: "What if my (Muslim) brother is as I say." He said, "If he is actually as you say, then that is backbiting; but if that is not in him, that is slandering."

It was said to Ibraaheem ibn Adham (rahimahullah): Why is it that we supplicate and receive no response?
He said:
Because you know Allaah but you do not obey Him,
and you know the Messenger (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) but you do not follow his Sunnah,
and you know the Quran but you do not act in accordance with it,
and you eat from the blessings of Allaah but you do not give thanks for them,
and you know Paradise but you do not seek it,
and you know Hell but you do not flee from it,
and you know the shaytaan but you do not fight him rather you agree with him,
and you know death but you do not prepare for it,
and you have buried the dead but you do not learn a lesson from that,
and you ignore your own faults and are preoccupied with other people’s faults!
